Hi James, you have an uncanny ability to put into words what many of us are feeling and thinking but are struggling to articulate in a world gone mad. Keep up the great work.
The issues being discussed here n my own participation have been niggling away throughout the day but until just now I did not realise why.
I have done exactly what the 'twitter loonies' n the left haters are doing - Scott Morrison did not apologise for 'saying something he did not say,' he said "I did not mean to offend anyone."
Scott Morrison really cant open his mouth without being savaged - n to my shame I joined in as the street bullies cornered him.
You know I want to move to a country where they dont speak English so I dont have to listen to anymore of this 'woke rubbish' and I will go out of my way not to learn the local lingo incase they talking about 'woke rubbish in their local lingo. Now we are allowed out of the country..
Gutless wonders todays pollies James. The world over. Seems a trend that the vast majority (silent) have to go along with the loonies but hasn’t that always been the case? Just that todays loonies are not even left field or the car park. Don’t know Kerryn and Daniel. Are they into B and D?
Yes, I regard it as tantamount to insincerity or cowardice to apologise to schemers who you instinctively know are misrepresenting your words for their own dishonest agenda. The howling offended mob making those vile accusations against PM Scomo were NEVER going to give him their vote. Thus he would have demonstrated more honesty and courage by calling out their deliberate misrepresentation of his words and leave it at that.
Hi James. A very useful summary of why Mr Morrison shouldn't have apologised. I understand that he's contesting an election and needs to keep certain groups onside - but surely only a very small minority of a very small minority would have "taken offence" at what he said. Why couldn’t he just have ignored the Twitter loonies - oh well at least he didn’t faux cry. By the way, nice photo of you and your boys. Keep up the good work - always look forward to, and enjoy, reading your newsletters.
My heart sank when I realised our PM had apologised for saying something he did not say. I hoped against hope that he could be a man, a PM who could learn from his mistakes.
Clearly he knows the implications of what he has done or worse, it’s a strategic move a demonstration of how we the Australian people are expected to behave?
