Marles - we have tossed in the towel with regards to keeping the Taipan helicopter airworthy, so rather than gift them to Ukraine, our friends (?) who are fighting for their very existence, and are desperate for some battlefield uplift, we are going to dig a hole and bury them! There are 300 or so operating around the world so why cant we get/keep ours going? Staggeringly stupid decision, probably Labors worst yet.
Also, wondering how the request from Ukraine for some coal is going. We have plenty, the evil Scomo coughed up 70,00 tons, but not sure if we have even processed the request. Maybe sort something in time for the northern Summer.

Re the helicopters: If I remember correctly, the crash was caused by a missing split pin - a maintenance slip-up - This caused a steel nut to work loose through the vibrations of the motor and the chopper crashed with loss of lives. Well, if that was all, why can't they make sure the mechanics are more careful and the bloody things can fly again like locusts?

Why do so many Australians suffer from the shortage of or the un-affordability of homes in our nation, whilst the Albanese Government (the working man's government) insist we need to bring in immigrants in their thousands only to exacerbate the problem? And dish out M$'s on social needs in Gaza?
My solution is to require all future immigrants to bring their own accommodation with them! Tents, or demountable's, even motor homes and caravans. This is ridiculous of course, but we can't have increased immigration on the one hand and shortage of housing for residents as well on the other.
I tend to agree with you. Why do we seem to have a weakened Defence Force, will not supply unwanted helicopters to Ukraine, but spend millions on supplying "aid" to Palestinians? Obvious really. Never give aid to those who are seen to be your friends, but in truth are the enemy of the Party, and so the Jew suffers more because the Party aids the 'enemy' by supplying the needs to Hamas, indirectly of course!

The Centurion tanks that were sent to Vietnam arrived without their totes ( tools and specialised servicing equipment) and their 3 vhf radio sets. Replacement was difficult with CMF units so equipt were stripped of their gear until replacements could be sourced from UK which would have caused labor into meltdown . The stolen equipment was found (which wasnt stolen by the wharfies )under the wharf in Sydney where the tanks were loaded.

The stories were already horrific, but some of the more recent reports about what was done to hostages are beyond horrifying.
