Maybe the attack was simply just one more knife crime in a city where it’s about as commonplace as seeing another minaret piercing the skyline. Maybe it had absolutely nothing to do with their sexual proclivities and more to do with living in a city with a sky rocketing crime - and knife crime in particular - problem.
