When you become a believer there is great rejoicing, no matter who you are, where you have come from or what you have done- for we are ALL sinners.
However; when a person whose name is known globally, becomes a Christian, the World takes notice.
Aayan Hirsi Ali’s life’s journey from Moslem to Atheist and now Christian is a powerful testimony of the revelation of God’s sacrificial love, grace and mercy -oh such perfect timing 🙏🏻
God bless and protect Aayan as she shares her testimony. 🔥
Being a Christian gives me hope and a purpose. God is act work in our lives and yes sadness and suffering are part of all that. But one day soon, I hope I will go to be with my Saviour, Jesus in my eternal home. Yes there are flawed Christians out there who make mistakes, engage in erroneous activities and teaching but the Lord is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
A very interesting read however it doesn’t inspire me to change my decision to have no religious beliefs. Like most Aussie kids, I was introduced to The doctrines of Judeo-Christian religion at Sunday School where even as a child I questioned the existence of God, a mysterious being no one had ever seen and couldn’t describe. Threats of “you will go to hell if you don’t believe” made no great impression on me. I found the whole thing boring and couldn’t bring myself to sing hymns especially when I had to attend religious instruction at school. The only thing I did learn was right from wrong and that has guided me through life with just a few strays from the straight and narrow path. Religion in the army during my 6 years service was hypocritical with the Padres’ preaching biblical stuff like “thou shalt not kill”to men whose sole purpose was to locate and kill the enemy. Those with religious beliefs weren’t protected by their God from dying. Our enemy was Muslim and their God didn’t protect them either.
It’s difficult to categorise myself because I do believe there was a creator in one form or another but I cannot logically believe other than religious books like the Bible or the Koran were written by man for the control of man, mainly through fear.
I have no objections whatsoever to people having religious beliefs and if that brings them peace, that is a good thing.
Friends who are religious often tell me that they will pray for me. My answer is, “if it makes you feel better, go ahead. Can’t hurt, might help”.
A lot of people had religious instruction early in their life but became atheists later. Julia Gillard grew up as a Baptist but became a committed atheist also. She refused to touch the Bible when she gave her oath of office on becoming Prime Minister of Australia.
That is one powerful testimony and needs to be shared far and wide. The proof that following Jesus is the only answer to our probems today. He is The Way, The Truth and The Life.
Even as a Christian I have realised in the last year especially, it is time to draw even closer to God, being on my own in this world with less and less opportunity for human connection or conversation or comfort, he is literally all I can rely on. Our faith and love of God is the only hope and light we have, in a dark and evil world falling further and further into chaos each day.

Thank you for highlighting this JM. She’s a superstar.
Love this! How encouraging in the midst of so much bad news!
Jesus is alive and His Word IS still living and active, even in these dark times.

An amazing testimony, I'm totally sharing this with my daughter, hopefully it will open her young eyes and help her return to God and Godly ways.
Amen.
