Thanks, James. Rich v poor gap to grow. I just can't see how this can possibly work when everyone gets home from work and massive power is required to recharge our renewable govt utopian ideals. Also, $$$ replacing recycling highly toxic batteries after their 10yr life span is a huge speed bump on the horizon. Perhaps by putting us more in debt, throwing a few billion more $ down the drain, they will promise to make the sun shine at night when we need it for HWS, solar powered vehicles, light, air cond etc etc. Can't they see the emperor has no clothes or substance?

You write the things we feel so well.

Okay! I can’t stay silent on this no more. Queensland in 2020-2021 received $7.29 Billion in Royalties from coal. That’s in one year folks. I found that on the web.

So if we are investing in green which Queensland is going to invest $62 billion by 2032…again on the web….

How in The Hans Christian Andersen will we be getting cheaper power?

Tap off the black gold and tap on ? What? Rainbow juice or the sweat off the brows of our political leaders?

You add intermittent energy to an electricity grid, you increase the price to the consumer.

It might be science but it's also incredibly obvious.

And it is truly ridiculous that we are still allowing people to get away with saying "renewables will lower energy prices." It is embarrassing.

I’d trust Labor as much as I’d trust a Pedophile running a kindergarten

Renewables cause big fluctuations in supply and pricing that make reliable base load coal fired power stations unable to maintain the gaps as they take time to turn up or down to cover the needs of the community over time.

To have industries that can replace imports from China we need strong base load power. The Communists have deceived us into destroying our power system and it will never be able to cope if ever there are real numbers of electric cars that need to be charged every night.

This is the key to a thriving economy and Labor has just cut the legs out from under it.

I expect prices to become unaffordable for most people with only the rich having their own solar rooftop panels and a large battery to make their costs low.

Labor is working for the elites today and the LNP need to start making policies that will help the poor to survive and pick up those former Labor seats. Standing up for free speech and Christian values will also help in these areas, but the will need to stop listening to social media and the Left controlled and owned MSM.

Typical plan by labor. We don’t know where we’re going or how to get there but like Dorothy and Toto alias Bowen and Plibersek just follow the yellow brick road. You’ll know it because it’s lined with wind turbines and paved with shiny solar panels. You may even be lucky enough to have a Tesla to drive on it.Let’s hope you don’t run out of charge before you get there.

The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing, so they all talk in circles and play the blame game just the way the state premiefrs do. The funny thing is, in August my electricit bill was in credit by $300 and I got the latest bill last wekk and it is now $600 in credit. I pay $45 a fortnight to Ergon and it seems to be more than enough.

This energy shortage has been coming for years. Companies have been told they will be closed down so why spend money exploring or developing mines or doing maintenance on coal power stations. Woke banks/ super funds refused loans to build or develop mines/rail lines/ports.

APA gas pipeline Co has been warning in their reports for some years about a coming shortage. Cooper energy's annual report this year mentioned the Victorian govt monitorium stopping new gas and oil drilling. You can't cut off exploration and development of energy and then complain prices are going up as there is a shortage of supply. Lots of reports have warned that the renewable energy dream and Electric vehicle dreams can never happen because all the minerals needed to build batteries have not yet been discovered. Cheap slave Labor is needed in China to build solar panels and wind turbines. China now has a falling workforce ( too many babies were murdered under the 1 child policy to replace old retiring workers).

The energy and minerals to build solar and wind means they are more than 1/2 worn out before they make nough energy to cover the cost of building and running them. The woke have plans and dreams but no link with reality and no physical way to achieve what they pretend they want.

Ok so now we are going to trust Labor’s word soup on energy price caping etc etc just like the $275 dollars promised to the electorate before the election to lower energy prices....yeah right this is all about trying to turn the tide on the sky rocketing energy prices which will eventually crash the climate change net zero narrative as Labor cannot meet the insane carbon emission targets without bankrupting every middle class and working class voter but who cares about them? Australia agreements to meet crazy climate change targets and pay reparations to our pacific island neighbours is where our priorities should be. The Labor party is just a snake oil salesmen continuing to peddle out false promises to cushion the blow of negative public opinion which is crying out saying what in the hell is going on our power bills have tripled! The country is going to hell in a hand basket.. but who cares the mythical net zero carbon emission target must be maintained at all cost...where in the hell is the Liberal party with prosecutions against this narrative and a strong stance to lower power prices by using nuclear energy? We’re in big trouble in Australia our political parties are run by internal polling, elites, lobbyists and global entities which have no interest in what’s best for us... the average Joe is being sold out in this country...we need a wrecking ball to crash this stupidity!

One would suspect that they are hoping for a swift end to the war in Ukraine so that they can claim their yet-to-be-announced plan was secretly implemented and working to bring prices down.

Meanwhile, they keep kicking the can forward as they know that they can't deliver on their promise without subsidising electricity through tax revenue or borrowing.

Either way we will pay for it!

This Labor government is hopeless. Announcement , dangerous legislation and a hopeless, futile and shabby motions in parliament. The cost of living is horrendous and all we get is fatuous statements about how renewables are cheaper! I guess we have to return to the old ways-cheap and cheer meals at home, less dining out and practical presents for Christmas.
