Bring it on ! It would take California off the travel list forever. No more Disneyland, Universal studios. no more movies. Excellent. go woke ! Go broke!

I've got a better idea. There must be 1000s of spare beds in Democrate houses all over California. How many spare rooms in a Hollywood mansion alone. I know the homeless would be so welcomed. I'd bet they would love to help out. Just do it out of the goodness of their little marxist hearts. No need for payment. Images the social goody points.

Perhaps when it's reported how many politicians have unused brains by 2 pm, they could surrender them or how about banks with a surplus of money by 2pm?

The plight of the homeless is an inditement on our society. Many are there because of DV job loss re jab noncompliance, relationship issues etc. Yes there are many with mental health and/ or drug issues and it is deeply distressing on many levels. However, as you and others have mentioned, govt acquisition of private properties is not a good solution either. Welcome to sunny progressive California, the book ahead state. Too bad if your plans change after 2pm, you can't get a room.

It is interesting what you are saying. There are some extremely strong Christians in California who are not woke, praying for that state - thye are very awake and aware. Also, lots are coming to the Lord, I saw where there was a water baptism of 5,000. Many have left and Texas is overflowing with Caliufornians. It is a very sad state when the rot is from the top down

Not just California, James. It’s been done in NZ for 5 years. Two otherwise very affluent cities Hamilton and Rotorua have been rendered cess pits of social problems. Tourists don’t go there any more in great numbers and the few who do will never return. Melbourne and now LA off my list of places to go. Bloody hell there’ll be nowhere left soon

100% agree.

Yesterday I just happened to be reading JP Moreland’s article ‘Correcting the Strawmen: Why Most Evangelical Christians are Political Conservatives’, and I think it’s worth quoting here. JP says; through the use of taxation, the state is garnishing the funds needed to engage in various social programs.. [But] it is the results of such taxation policies that matter to the state, not the moral intentions or character of those who give their tax dollars that support such programs. In Jesus’ ethic, helping the poor by the coercive power of the state with no interest in moral intentions or character is of little ethical value. It follows that when the state steps outside its role of protecting the violation of negative rights, the state will be incompetent and less effective than private or charitable alternatives.
