Woe Betide the Local Government that Refuses to Promote the Left’s Holy Grail of Same Sex Parenting!
But trash Australia Day, and that's just fine
A local council in this country can hide the Australian flag and cancel Australia Day without consequence.
But woe betide the local government that refuses to promote the left’s holy grail of same sex parenting!
The NSW State Government is threatening to remove funding from the Cumberland City library after the council voted not to stock a book on homosexual parenting.
The book, ‘Same-Sex Parents’, features two men and a child on the cover.
Council member Steve Christou said councillors voted 6 to 5 in favor of removing the book after learning that the library had received multiple complaints from parents.
The complaints were hardly surprising. Fully 60 per cent of Cumberland residents were born overseas, and most hold deep family and religious values.
The State, of course, believes the family is plasticine that can be moulded to resemble the latest progressive fetish, and holds religious values in contempt.
NSW Arts Minister John Graham, who has not said boo about councils ditching our national day, was outraged that raising kids without a mum would not be promoted.
He compared the library’s decision to “book burning”.
John Graham is not the Arts Minister for nothing. Talk about drama queen!
Graham thundered …
“When civilisations turn to burning books or banning books it is a very bad sign. That is equally true for local councils.
“It is up to readers to choose which book to take off the shelf. It should not be up to local councillors to make that choice for them or engage in censorship.”
Firstly, equating “civilisation” with the Cumberland Shire is a bit of a stretch. The two-daddy book is still available in other parts of the country.
Second, what kind of public official insists that purposefully depriving a baby of its mother in order to satisfy the impossible demands of two men is “civilised”?
And third, local councillors voted in response to feedback from residents. It’s called representative government. NSW Labor should try it sometime.
Graham, who only ever worked as a union offical and political staffer before entering Parliament to live off the taxpayer teat, is pushing an immoral and unhealthy policy that the Cumberland populace does not support.
Promote my left-wing, anti Christian agenda or we will withhold your own money from you, is his mantra.
By the way, did John Graham make even peep when woke puritans were editing and banning Roald Dahl books?
You already know the answer.
Me thinks he cares less about the glory of books than he does about the LGBGTQ religion. And it is a religion.
Same sex parenting is legal, but that doesn’t mean it is natural, or ideal. And it certainly doesn’t mean that the Christian folk of Cumberland must agree to have it shoved in their faces.
Same sex parenting is an article of faith.
The Christians of Cumberland are no more motivated by ideology than the Arts Minister, the difference being that the Christians have biology, history and psychology on their side.
John Graham is threatening to withhold a reported $700,000 in library funding, if the LGBTQ book is not returned to the shelves.
That’s how much the Arts Minister reckons a same sex parenting book is worth. I dare say the religious folk of Cumberland believe their values are worth a fair bit more.
Maybe it is time to stand up to these Alphabet people. If the Library holds its ground against the council and others do too, then the council will be evicted! Bowing down to the god of homosexuality is wrong and needs to be confronted
Threatening funding cuts!!! Anyone would think he’s giving away his own money and can retract promises at will. Who votes these morons into Parliament???? Well done Cumberland council and voters.
