When the goal of life is happiness, all sorts of trouble lies at the door. The struggles of modern society to keep people happy is a root of all sorts of weirdness.
That reminds me that the greatest person in history, Jesus Christ, never once promised "happiness" to any of his disciples. Ever.
In fact he promised trouble and strife. But in the midst of all that, He did promise us PEACE.
I have said for many years, “ it pays to quit while you a head”. A disembodied head doesn’t have to worry about obesity or fat shaming or fat complimenting.
“Should all children get a trophy just for turning up” was the question on a Channel 7 survey and 82%. voted NO. The point being that the majority can see the dangers and problems of a Yes vote and most likely those same people if asked, would also see and agree with the message in your article today James.
Now all we have to do is get those same people to become vocal and call out the rubbish that is being forced on us by the woke brigade in every aspect of our lives.
We used to be known as a nation that was forthright and called a spade a spade, even if it hurt someone’s feelings, but we would tell it like it was.

We need to mobilise that 82% and take our country back from the soft cocks influence.

I just read a book in a crime fiction series that had as the murderers a bunch of people who had experienced crimes against family members and formed an online community called the Kindness Matters Movement. They then proceeded to exercise that kindness by taking the law into their own hands. But in true British crime fiction form it was a right wing group according to the police and the dopey officers chasing the murderers. I haven’t written the review yet. I thought as you did, James that kindness and the virtues were woke qualities. But then they exercise a hypocritical form of virtue signalling.
I like the Golden Rule that states "Do unto others as you would wish them to do unto you only add "only do it first". Or from Henry IV "Think then on revenge and cease to weep " Old fashioned words for" Dont get angry get even " A bit more payback in kind would if not improve the situation at least make the original victim feel better ..
