Why Carlos Santana is the Most Dangerous Man in the World
A pandemic of sentimental goo has overtaken the brains of much of the general populace
Repeat after me … tolerance is for people, never for bad ideas; and intolerance is for bad ideas, never for people.
Superstar guitarist Carlos Santana has issued a grovelling apology for comments he made about trans ideology during a concert in July.
During the performance in New Jersey he told the crowd:
“When God made you and me, before we came out of the womb, you know who you are and what you are.”
Then he added:
“Later on when you grow up, and you see things and you start believing that you could be something that sounds good but you know it ain’t right, because a woman is a woman and a man is a man — that’s it.”
So basically, he paraphrased Genesis 1v27.
But God Himself cannot help anyone who insists these days that gender is a fixed biological reality.
Trans activists slammed the guitarist for daring to state simple truths in a world they are busy completely rebuilding on a foundation of unreality.
It wasn’t like Santana was being transphobic. To be clear, he told the crowd:
“Whatever you wanna do in the closet, that’s your business, I’m okay with that.”
So he doesn’t believe in gender theory (the idea that a man can become a woman) but he does believe in the inherent dignity and worth of every person.
So far so good.
Not so fast guitar man. Modern culture insists that acceptance means agreement. And so, facing a barrage of criticism for his comments, Santana buckled.
He wrote on his Facebook page …
“I am sorry for my insensitive comments.”
Just to be clear, those “insensitive comments” were that “a woman is a woman and a man is a man”.
I would add that the sky is blue and that water is wet, but I don’t want anyone to be triggered.
Santana said that his remarks …
“ … don’t reflect that I want to honor and respect all person’s ideals and beliefs.”
The mental illness destroying Western civilisation is not trans ideology but, rather, a pandemic of sentimental goo that has overtaken the brains of much of the general populace, convincing otherwise good people that all ideas and beliefs must be respected.
So Santana wants to honour and respect all people’s beliefs. Does that include Adolf Hitler’s belief that the Jews should be exterminated?
Will he honour Mao’s belief that the middle class should be eliminated?
Is my belief that I should be opening bat for the Australian Test cricket team worthy of respect?
Does honouring and respecting all beliefs include a dunce’s belief that two and two makes five? Or is it six? What if a dunce insists two and two is both five and six?
It should be obvious that you cannot honour and respect all beliefs without dishonouring and disrespecting yourself in the process.
It is impossible for Santana to believe that men cannot become women while, at the exact same time, respecting the idea that men can become women. He might as well stand on his head and on his feet all at the same time, while insisting that he’s floating.
His Facebook apology tour continued …
“I realize that what I said hurt people and that was not my intent. I sincerely apologize to the transgender community and everyone I offended.”
Spoiler alert: Not everyone hurt by things you say deserves an apology. That a person claims to be “hurt”, or upset, is not prima facie evidence that a crime has been committed.
When I was a kid we used to say: ‘The truth hurts’.
Now we say: ‘If you’re hurt we’ll change the truth.’
Santana is apologising to people he hurt by asserting a biological truth, and promising to honour and respect all ideas by no longer asserting true ideas.
It is well-intentioned nincompoops like Santana who are the most danger to society.
The culture will indeed be destroyed by crazy ideas, but not the crazy ideas you imagine.
The gender bending ideologue is far less dangerous than the righteous sentimentalist who would sooner set fire to the truth than upset a total stranger’s delusions.
And so the entire world was set alight.
Didn’t a wise person once say, I don’t believe in what you say, but I believe in your right to say it?Obviously we are not allowed an opinion anymore. Keep up the good work James.
Carlos will soon discover that, unlike true repentance and forgiveness in Christ, there is no absolving your sins in the cult of secular humanist wokeism. No amount of apologising, grovelling and self flagellation will ever be enough for the perpetually offended and self virtuous priests of the alphabet mafia.
He could turn up tomorrow in high heels and fishnet stockings for a drag queen story hour calling himself Carlotta Salamander, but the sacrifice of his sanity and dignity would not erase the eternal damage of his hurtful, albeit truthful, words.
Nope, he’s gone found out the hard way there’s no appeasing the holy order of fundamentalist progressives and their doctrine of self worship. If you’re gonna speak the truth, never apologise for doing so. For in doing so, you will lose respect twice over; for yourself and from those around you.
