Wait. Why are women nervous about using the road? I mean, apart from merging lanes and parking, they do pretty well. Itβs everyone else who gets nervous when women use the roads.
All local governments are unconstitutional and that will never change as the proposal has already been rejected 3 times. They are only able to enforce their laws because you have not withdrawn your implied consent i.e. you have not told them that you do not consent to their rules and so they take that as implied consent. If you want to be free from their laws just write to them and tell them you want to withdraw your consent to enforce their laws on you as they have no constitutional rights to make them without your consent.
I believe in driving according to the environment and that speed signs should all only be advisory.
I mean who can average more than 20 kph in peak hour traffic?
When travelling between Dubbo and Bourke you can see for miles ahead, no traffic at all and so rather than fall asleep at the wheel driving at 30 kph all the way it makes sense to drives as fast as you feel safe at and get there before the sun goes down, book a room and get settled in for the night.
We used to have signs that told us there was no speed limit in such places, but common sense went out the window years ago. Now they only use speed zones there to make money for the government.
I live on The Bellarine. The demographic in Queenscliff could barely walk to the end of the street let alone around town. Most of them donβt drive to the existing speed limit as it us. The place is a ghost town outside of long weekends & summer holidays. There is no major supermarket or other major facilities. It really is a different (yet adorable) universe. You have more chance of getting in trouble with the local dog catcher than highway patrol. This is the most ridiculous suggestion Iβve ever heard.
The UN Agenda is think globally, act locally. No need to deal with pesky national governments. It probably explains why the majority of Green politicians are in local government.
Valid suggestions, James. Perhaps those that want to reject this idea boycott the area and see how council goes without tourism? Grossly unfair idea for local businesses though, so emails to council may work but it sounds like they are committed to utwokian oblivion anyway.
James, I think you have over-reached on this one. We need to pick our fights. Let the council make their case and bear the consequcnes at the ballot box.
And it is not my experience that average cyclists can ride at more than 35km/hr.
I have been saying the looney bins need to be reopened! There is a fine line between genius and insanity and so many people have gone over the edge! A good idea instead of walking could be pedal cars like the ones children used to have back in the day. I think too many of these people go to bed with indigestion and dream these thiings up in their sleep!

I laughed out loud.
(I am a woman)
VICTORIA are SO GOOD at THIS STUFF!!!!πππ
From King DAN DOWN to LOCAL COUNCILS, IDIOTS!!
Herd mentality.π€
So funny. If this was happening when my kids were young they would have voted to live there if they would be allowed to driveβ¦..
Let's not forget Dan's "Tree close to road" signs placed on offending tree's. Victoria has considerable expertise in stupidity.

They should run a comedy festival with all the stand up comedians who are running Victoria.

So much material & so little time James π
π€£π€£π€£π€£ What a crack up - only Victoria!!.... I hope π¬ Luv the marshmellow scenario. Great writing.
Thanks Linda. Have a great weekend!
I suggest everyone drive at the 50/60 speeds. EVERYONE! Bugger the council.
Exactly.
They want to save fossil fuels maybe they should think about themselves.Seems like there are more fossils running government than running the cars.
Fossil fools.
It's official, Queenscliff Council has approved the removal of all u-turns in town.
There's no turning back now.
I see what you did there.
