“Labor's budget surplus is your cost of living increase.
“With millions stuck in poverty, unable to afford their rent, medication, groceries or degrees - Labor are proud of hoarding $9.3 billion from people doing it the toughest.
“That's not responsible. It's cruel.”
Paying down debt is hoarding?
Adam, come on.
A Budget surplus takes money out of the economy, which reduces demand.
Reduced demand reduces inflation.
Reduced inflation means the RBA can reduce interest rates.
Reduced interest rates help home buyers and eases pressure on landlords, thereby easing pressure on tenants.
The Greens, however, would aggravate inflation while plunging Australia into even greater debt.
Greater national debt creates greater interest payments on loans, and only serves to saddle young people - whom the Greens claim to love - with a massive burden going into the future; a burden to be borne by a shrinking workforce.
Adam Bandt missed his true calling in life. I don’t mean that he shouldn’t be in politic. Of course he should be. But in Zimbabwe.
Bandt is typical of the activist that has been brought up in a western democracy and has the ideology of Trotskyism….all from his comfortable lounge holding a glass of red in his hand.
