Hopefully now not only will America be great again but the rest of the world will follow. 🙏🏽

A sound, critical and insightful take on the election. Your deconstruction of the Democrats and the 'absurd' left is, in my view, spot on. Having said this, and looking towards the future, now is the time for conservatives to deconstruct and roll back the left's 'long march through the institutions'. If they fail to do this, all will have been in vain. The Frankfurt School long recognised the need to invert Marx and to capture the societal superstructure. In essence, the material base is certainly critical, but control the ideological base and you change the game. Sadly, despite being apprised of this truth time and time again by those that understand the left, conservative politicians have obdurately ignored the culture wars - look at Australia today - I rest my case.

I have to admit I wasn't emotionally invested in either candidate actually, this election! Now that Trump has won, it will be interesting to see how he performs. "Chaos" is what I remember from his last effort, although perhaps this time he is a little more familiar with procedures AND he has a much bigger margin on his side. I'm keen to watch and learn. After three months circling around the USA and visiting with 70 or more old friends, I've heard a wide variety of opinions, from Democrats and Republicans. Perhaps the most interesting comment I remember was from a Republican voter: "I think Donald Trump is a detestable person. I'd probably walk out if he entered the room. He's a bully. But Kim Jung UN is a bully. Put in is a bully. Many world leaders are bullies. And they understand and respect a bully. We need a strong leader in our country! And the economy did better while he was president. So - I'm voting for Trump." I don't have any animosity toward Trump. I'll just watch and learn!

I wonder if all the celebrities who said that they would leave the USA if Trump won are now buying their tickets and packing their bags?!

I hope that they dont come here . We need people like that like a case of herpes

Excellent words James. You're all right on the stuff. Keep up the hard work.

Brilliant, again.

I'm confused! Well perhaps quizzical.

Is Joe still the official incumbent President? Ms. Harris was the official VP standing in for the party in Joe's place, so shouldn't she take credit for the loss and Joe give the speech declaring defeat?

But then Obama should stick his nose back under the covers and withdraw from the whole sorry mess he and Hillary created!

I'm not sure if the Democrats know who was driving the bus that careered off the precipice.

There is still a feeling of despair showing as in the photo after the non appearance of Harris last night. She and her followers have trashed America, and now it's up to Republicans to clean it all up.

Sounds a bit like Labor creates misery in Australia, and once again the Libs will have to clean it all up. Bring it on I say, I've got duster and brooms ready!

Please God the Libs take the country then Victoria 🙏

Hey Julie! I thought Victoria was part of the country? Or is that state too far gone for redemption?

Federal election is before our state election. Feds can’t fix the state 🤷‍♀️

A big loser in the Presidential election In the USA once quoted from the Bible, "JOY cometh in the Morning", (followed by a cackle!) only it didn't bring her Joy. The other successful candidate said, "We're gunna make Victoria Great Again!" Well something like that.

Well said again to ‘our fearless keyboard warrior’. With the results of the election now published, I am another Aussie who is relieved to see Trump returned with such a positive result. I am not the first person to say that you don’t have to particularly like him as a man, but he has previously done a good job as POTUS and I’m quite sure that he will do the same again. We all should keep him in our prayers asking God to protect, guide and direct his tenure as president.

So elated, relieved. today is like awakening form a awful nightmare. that cast of democrats are like monsters from a B grade 1950s horror film. "The attack of the Swamp zombies" they can all slink away into the black murky depths of their vile beliefs and destructive plans. Trump will get our hostages back!!! the world has been saved. thank you GOD

If God is to be true to Himself, there is no way He could allow a person or group, CLAIMING TO BE CHRISTIANS, who joyfully proclaim and advocate for the mass murder of the innocent to run the country'

Another thought -- When Trump won in 2016 he was pro Israel. He negotiated the Abraham Accords -- a step as a peace maker. Then he became enamoured with the two state solution. God has a bit to say in the Bible about anyone toying with the Land of Israel. It seems God withdrew his blessing from Trump and he lost the 2020 election. Over the past year or so we haven't heard anything about a two state solution, in fact in recent months he has indirectly indicated he is against it. Could it be that with this change God has given him another chance? Just a thought.

I like your thinking. God works in mysterious ways 👍

God may be giving the world more time to come to their senses and follow His direction. Armageddon may have been pushed back in our estimates, but God's timing is still 'His Time' and one more world leader has been raised to accomplish his Divine Plans.

Oh dear. I guess the male population of America will all just have to turn gay for the next four years.

The number of severely trigged (non-American) people (many women) in the world right now, it's just ... well .... I have no words, but I can tell you now, if you try and use reason with them as to why Harris lost, they just can't handle it, all they believe is that Trump is the worst person on earth and they can't see beyond the media lies - I even had one tell me that Sky and Fox news are just as biased and lie as much as mainstream media - ok - yeah, its possible - but I can tell you now - it's far more balanced than watching and believing everything the others preach!

All I can say is that it is an answer to prayer - all out war and devastation of the world as we know it (is it still the world we know even?) has been pushed back a few more years (hopefully).

I had dinner last night with two girls from Uni who I hadn’t seen in years.

They were devastated Trump had won.

They had all the talking points straight from Left wing news sources the Age/ ABC news.

They were surprised to hear of the border crises, the illegals who’d murdered many young women in US, the gangs running rampant, and the fact that Kamala didn’t earn her place on merit!

Thank goodness for X, and commentators like Charlie Kirk, Megyn Kelly, Ben Shapiro, Joe Rogan etc who provide the other side of the story. Hopefully more people switch off mainstream tv news and look for other sources.

Yesterday was a truly wonderful day!!!!

"So they’re saying … abstinence is a good way to avoid unwanted pregnancies and would make abortions unnecessary?"

Abortions are NEVER necessary. But, yes, very good point and one which highlights the fact that this is a choice.

Being a bloke it is probably none of my business but in my view abortion after rape ,incest ,.health is acceptable but full term termination to me seems like infanticide . Cant imagine it .

I understand Bob, and I give praise to God that so far none of the females in my extended family have been placed in such a scenario as you posted. However I have also seen and heard documentaries of one young lady who was 'aborted' but did not die. She is a world speaker against abortion. There are others also.

I would not want to play God in any situation, so why do some doctors and nurses do that every day? To my mind they are ritualistic priests of a satanical religion presenting young souls for sacrifices to their version of god!

When will these murderous, cold-hearted, self-centred nitwits ever realise that an abortion is all about the body of the unborn?!!!

It is a great victory for the Republicans and Donald Trump is a very strong man. The next 75 days until he is inaugurated will be filled with suspense. We must pray he survives. I have a friend who is an Anglican priest (ess?), she is so upset about Kamala losing, I can't believe how anyone could be so duped as she is, but I find it interesting just how far we have parted in belief since we went to school and A Baptist church so many eons ago!

Regarding college degrees, I have a post-graduate degree. I am also a die-hard conservative. After I did my post-graduate degree, I began living in the real world. That's when I got a real education.

Ouch, that's honest. Like JD Vance when questioned why he had changed his opinion of Trump. His answer - "I grew up".

Don't get me wrong. Maybe I should have been more clear. I have enormous respect for people with higher education. They have worked hard to achieve this and our society needs such people in the workforce - for example, doctors, lawyers, engineers etc...

Part of what I was trying to say, is that there is so much more involved in life than the attainment of a higher education. Yes, I have a postgraduate degree. But so what? I found life much harder once I was away from the sheltered environment of uni, because I was confronted with the reality of the world.

There are many other challenges in life and success can come in many different forms. For example, for me, having children has been one of the most difficult, but also one of the most rewarding endeavours of my life. And it has been, and still is, an education like no other!

Hi Heather,

No, I apologise. I should have made myself clearer...... and your response did that. I agree with everything in your reply. You have obviously continued to grow and flourish, as we all should. Life's a journey. Sadly, in my experience, there is a cohort whose view of the world fail to move beyond the cloistered university environment and believe their views are the truth and superior to others.

I have great respect for those that achieve academic, vocational qualifications but they only lay a foundation for a career. As you say there is so much more to developing as a rounded person. IQ is not EQ.

Well done on your academic and life achievements. Parenting is the supreme challenge and reward of life.
