Great article! Spot on! It’s very clear in God’s Word that if we take Holy Communion unworthily ie. without true confession of our sins, then we literally drink damnation to ourselves. I can’t think of anything more serious than this but apparently Pelosi doesn’t seem to mind the risk in this life and the next. Not to mention her evil example of leading people astray - the millstone around the neck comes to mind.

Well done, Archbishop, I wish there were more like you. You showed true Christian love and courage, loyalty to Christ and a genuine concern for the welfare of your - undeserving - parishioner.

Oh and I really think Whoopi G should stop opening her mouth in public. It’s very embarrassing for the rest of us.

I'm a Catholic but as a Christian it's easy to see the growing and profound disconnect of the left, not just from rational moral argument, or the values that make a wholesome and just society, but more over, from respect for the rational truth. I see the weasel word propaganda is clearly intended to create hateful conflict and dangerous breakdown of civil society.

It puts me in mind of the murderous socialist Spanish Republic, where the murderous ultra left regime, refused to except the wishes of the wholesome majority and acted behind the scenes to start slaughtering those that stood up to their Bolshi criminal thuggery and their absolute reversal of the truth. Luckily for the Spanish people, Francisco Franco had the moral courage to act, and therefore saved thousands if not millions from same genocidal onslaught that decimated Russia.

Good on that Archbishop! If all Christian Pastors, Ministers and Priests stood for truth and righteousness, the church would be more powerful and effective. That was an excellent article

Ahem...tenets of their faith. Sorry 🤦🏼‍♀️🤭

Yes... they’re always one. Love from your pedantic editor, Tiina.

When Jesus enjoined his followers to eat his flesh and drink his blood, he was using metaphors to require people to live the values of God which he had projected into the world. As Paul wrote - "I am crucified with Christ, but Christ lives in me." Holy communion should be a public profession that people have crucified their past life of misdeeds and have participated in Jesus' resurrection into life.

Within many New Age churches, the word "love" is utterly abused to mean anything except accepting responsibility for ones conduct.

Go peruse the New York Health Department records and you will find that in 2021 in New York that the number of Afro American abortions exceeded the number of live births.

Is that the "love" expounded by Jesus of Nazareth?

Thank you James, an excellent descriptor on the tenets of the Christian faith. How can a person who does not believe in the sanctity of human life and actually promote the taking of innocent lives, claim to be a Christ follower -a true believer. Surely not just the belief the church but more so in the eyes of God - such evil.

As Matthew 7:16-20 states

‘By their fruit you will recognize them.Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.’

Love it … I’ve been following this closely, it’s clear that we are in a Spiritual War, right now we need the Army to Wake Up , Unite and Fight back on such an important issue. We need to defend these innocent lives and our most Holy Bible !!

I’d love to see ALL the Catholic and Christian Churches throughout America along with the Pope to throw support behind this Archbishop - let’s hope, pray and see 🙏🏼

Very well put. Kindly and thoughtfully delivered but with beautifully accurate precision. Hit the bullseye. The Archbishop has stood for Kingdom values and the world reacted sharply as to be expected. In response to Pelosi's banning let me quote the apostle John in his first letter 1John2:3-6 (from the Passion Translation) - Here's how we can be sure that we've truly come to know God; if we keep his commands. If someone claims, " I have come to know God by experience ", yet doesn’t keep God's commands, he is a phony and the truth finds no place in him. But the love of God will be perfected within the one who obeys God's Word. We can be sure that we've truly come to live in intimacy with God, not just by saying "I am intimate with God" but by walking in the footsteps of Jesus."

So our talk of faith is either confirmed or denied by the way we walk out our lives moment by moment day by day and from that walk flow the inner values that we truly harbour on the inside. And once we get the revelation of Stunning Beauty, breathtaking brilliance, awe inspiring Majesty and unending goodness that each member of the Trinity is, how can we not but say " I choose to step into intimacy with God " and become more like Him as He is - Perfect Love.

That one can have the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought is gold. I will quote you of course.

Don't quote me John.

I borrowed the line from Theodore Dalrymple. If you've not read his book Life at the Bottom (The Mindset that Makes Up the British Underclass) you simply must. It's one of the most brilliant books I've ever read.

Wow, really well articulated, James. Thank you!

All beliefs are exclusive: even the modern religion of inclusivism excludes those who do not embrace its tenants (by being "exclusive"). How intolerant of them!

You're right Cody.

It's what's exclusive about Christianity that makes it the most inclusive of beliefs.

Christianity exclusively believes you can only be right with God by admitting that you are not. This puts everyone on level ground since no-one is able to point to their resume as reason for acceptance. This should produce in believers humility rather than arrogance.

We also insist that Jesus is God. And if Jesus is God, what does the ultimate man look like? He looks like a man forgiving his persecutors and dying for his enemies. This should produce in believers a love for all rather than a judgmental spirit.
