I had such high hopes for Mr Morrison. He had been gifted with the opportunity to really make a difference to our country and he wasted it.

You are, of course, quite correct.

"The many failings of Scott Morrison should not diminish his final message to the Australian people"

Sadly, it shouldn't James, but it seems like it is very hypocritical.

We were one of the families shouting from the roof top when he was elected but sadly he let us down and the GOD he professed to believe in.

"To the one who has been given much, much will be demanded of him."

"Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees."

The Born Alive Bill sat on the floor of Parliament and Morrison did nothing about it - Babies are continuing to be left to die because nothing was done. Shame.

And because of his rogue LNP MP's the religious discrimination bill was not passed, and we are still fighting for this today.

And today the Qld court said mandating the vaccines for some Qld frontline workers was found to be unlawful the judge said.

Sorry I will not be listening to ScoMo's final farewell as he sails into another high paying job and superannuation payout.

Written so well James, I commend you.

As I wrote on so many occasions during ScoMo’s ‘reign’, sadly he was an appeaser who left his Judeo-Christian beliefs at the chamber door.

As truth would have it, it was the Christian vote /prayers that got him the miracle Prime ministership and the Christian vote that saw him lose.

How different it all could have been - what a missed opportunity ScoMo had.

Thanks James. A well balanced article.

Thanks James. Your ending is well said and certainly very gracious.

Scott Morrison was a terrible disappointment to us from the beginning. His pursuit of the top job led to incredible compromises that his legacy will attest to.

Early on, I asked a Christian political individual who’d had lots of contact with him over the years, why he hadn’t stood against gay marriage openly. His reply was that he’d asked SM the same question and his answer was because he wanted to be PM and coming out openly against it (as TA did), would have hindered his chances.

His sickening support of and closeness to the evil Malcolm Turnbull was disturbing anyway and certainly proved to be an issue throughout his time as PM. Sucking up to the sleazy MT against TA wasn’t very ‘Christian’ of him.

During the supposed fake ‘pandemic’, reminding everyone that he was the one who brought in ‘no jab no pay/play’ for children wasn’t his best move as he threatened Australians regarding the jab. It was bad enough that he did it in the first place.

Setting up the illegal State premier’s regular get together so he could tell them what to do and then washing his hands of the consequences was a historic mistake of a cowardly leader. He could have stopped the illegal mandates and border closures (even if it meant going to court) The terrible impact these had on the entire Australian population should never be forgotten. The consequences are still being played out every single day as those who lost family, jobs and homes.

A QLD nurse was recently sacked, whilst on maternity leave for not getting the jab back when it was mandated!!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE

Whatever he says in his final speech will fall on many deaf ears from all sides of the political and Christian spectrum. This supposed ‘Christian’ PM made some of the worst political decisions in history, that had a huge negative impact on those who trusted him to protect them.

God put him in as PM and then removed him. He had an amazing opportunity and imo he failed.

So far I haven’t heard an apology. Should I have been watching the ABC instead?

Absolutely agree with you, Karen! And beautifully said. SM stands judged and condemned simply because he knew better. He was weak and cowardly. As you rightly said, God made him PM rather miraculously but SM was more interested in being liked by everyone, more interested in power, status and popularity.

I agree with you that SM’s last speech to parliament will fall on deaf ears, too late to ask people to turn to God when he himself didn’t honour God by public action and didn’t ever acknowledge his failures and weaknesses not only to the Australian public but to God Himself. It’s hypocritical and self righteous to give a speech calling people back to God.

He allowed the most godless people in the country to rule tyrannically and ruin so many people’s lives and health. He was an enabler of evil. His actions and their terrible consequences can only be dealt with by private and public repentance not by now trying to convince people how good and earnest he is about his faith and the people’s welfare. Too late for that.

Very good article, James. I was excited when he became PM, thinking he would do so much good for the country, but he sold us out. During the plandemic, I would see the pain on Josh Frydenburg's face as he stood before the cameras. You could see he was saying what he was being made to say. I think he was a very nice person. I sent Scomo a message saying that all my voting life I had voted Liberal, but never again! What he revealed to us was that he was no different from the Labor mob. They have all sold out to the WEF and WHO. I pray Scott and his family do well and that the Lord blesses them. He was treated terribly after he went to Hawaii for a holiday and we had the fires, Albo can disappear and nothing is said. I guess, unless we were in his shoes, it is hard to judge the man, but his fruit was very obvious

I sent SM a letter asking about the hypocrisy during covid. Not even an acknowledgment.

Yes. I was bitterly disappointed in ScoMo, but then who never made mistakes. His biggest was being “mates” with that viper Turnbull.

Expand full comment

I think his biggest mistake was selling Australians out to tyrants like Andrews who forced everyone to have the divisive toxic jab which destroyed the health of many and is continuing to do so and ruined what economy we had with his ungodly lockdowns. We’ll never recover from all this. It’s just made things easier for tyrants here and globally to put people in bondage so Marxism becomes the world order. One man’s cowardice and weakness can destroy many and and has far reaching consequences. SC should have done what he could but he didn’t even try.

So true, June.

Could have, would have, didn’t. As a Prime Minister he was a dud. He might not have fired the gun but he was the one who loaded it and handed it to the State Premiers to do the dirty work.

James, that is a classic. Well done.

Nicely said James. A decent man but actions always speak louder than words. His actions were very disappointing, and his weaknesses were profoundly on show during the pandemic. In saying that, I too wish him and his family well.

You are being very gracious. But he seems unrepentant and tone deaf to the misery he subjected us to. I pray he will realise one day what a terrible mistake he made in not fighting the totalitarian premiers.

Absolutely!

Well put. True, we had a small optimism that things were going to turn around for the better when he took the reins but it was not to be. Hugely disappointing, although ‘I’m sure he meant well’, walking the tightrope. He didn’t want to rock the boat or make a stand when it most mattered, and that’s a great shame … the ‘what might have been’.

I believe weakness does greater and more insidious harm than open malice. At least you know where you stand with the latter.

My assessment of Scott Morrison is that he is Machiavellian in his politics. He knifed Abbott then Turnbull then shut us down for a respiratory virus. Whatever it takes was his mantra. So much good Morrison could have done.

Will try again (hit the wrong button)Tony Abbot was the best pm in recent years Flogged the Dudd comprehensively ,and was back stabbed by that maggot Turnbull. Typical of the dog that chased the car ---caught it then didnt 'know what to do with it I blame the wet dream ,bed wetters in the liberal party for supporting both of these losers (Morrison and Turnbull.) for the mess that we are in now. My opinion is that Abbot would still be PM if he had a true liberal party to lead. {At least no one could accuse him of not holding a hose at a bushfire.)

A favorable and honoring assessment of one of the scariest PMs ever. Go out on lifting up His name instead of one’s own, and I must admit I’m quick to forget his sins (though his name on a future ballet would somehow jog my memory perhaps.)
