Every now and then you read a headline and a word jumps out at you. A word that, intentionally or otherwise, gives away more than was intended.
I had that experience last night reading how the Democrats were approaching a new abortion bill in the state of North Carolina.

A stunning party shift from a previously devout pro-choice Democrat has enabled the sudden passage of a 12-week abortion ban that will impact people across the South.
If one needed any more convincing of the quasi-religious, cult-like status of the pro-death-in-utero mob, then this was probably it... to be 'devout' to the cause behind the mutilation of the unborn says it all really.
Previously devout. this guy is no longer devout so changing his mind reflects his change in his spiritual disposition.
