Much loved flag ? loved by who?I can tell the good lady that in most country towns the public toilet facilities are rendered useless because of the filth, excrement smeared walls ,toilet seats, etc and filthy anti white graffiti . And accompanied by line drawings "of that much loved flag"It has no right to be displayed in our parliament.

Okay - great! I wasn't sure... sorry. Occasionally, it can be hard to know how to understand a comment correctly, because you can't hear the tone of voice or see face expression. Thanks for clarifying! 😄

What a good way to comment on 12 topics at 1 time James. As long as you don't run out of topics later on! Thanks

Thanks so much for your excellent Saturday Sanity round-up, of significant week’s News

Also enjoyed your time on Bolt Report. Is The late Debate continuing, I do hope so!

It looks like Sharri M is moving to Kenny’s time? Any more reshuffles happening?

Labor won’t have a 2nd term they have failed abysmally in every domain. IR, the economy, (cost of living) defense & security, immigration of those with nefarious intentions rather than those who will assimilate and productively benefit our country, taxes, the rule of law ⬇️, race-based politics, growing green & red tape, proliferation of public ‘servant’ departments, eroding Faith, Family (Judeo-Christian), and Freedoms, (greater State & Fed. Controls,).

Oh I could go on.... but enough of my keeping tally.

I would think it appropriate that they dont have a full first term. How much more of this gutless incompetence can any one nation survive??

This a welcome return to the old SSC. Great.

The madness is out there. Morons attempting to govern us. Courts with too much power. Silly commentary from journalists like Trinca- she and Jack the Insider, Paul Kelly and Sheridan are the reason I don’t get the Oz.

Isn’t it delicious but tragic when the left eat their own? Has the hood doctor come to her senses? After a vaccine injury maybe she realises she has been sold a pup.

I totally agree with on remote aboriginal communities. They need to fund their own life choices. Hasn’t building houses in remote areas for aboriginal gangs to wreck been done before?

I always smile when leftists go on about Murdoch press being so right wing. They obviously never read it!

My 88 year old father who still works on the farm can't get an old age pension because he still owns a few of our paddocks. With the recent property asset bubble they are worth a lot.

Aborigines own billions of $ of land that they refuse to use or are so lacking in initiative that the land produces nothing but they all seem to qualify for sitting and baby pensions. Then demand others who work must give them what they want. They had 65,000 years to learn how to build their 1st house but did not. They refuse to help them selves by working and contributing anything to the nation so really they deserve nothing from taxpayers.

Expand full comment

Not sure the aboriginals have been here that long. 5-6000 years perhaps. But your point is well made. Everyone knows the answer but no one is brave enough to implement it. The situation with your father is awful. I really feel for hardworking farmers.

I actually don’t have much sympathy for the aboriginal people.

I do wonder where the 65,000 years came from. Perhaps like the ‘Welcome to Country’ Ernie Dingo, 1976 Perth International Arts Festival, and ‘dot paintings’ 1971 Papunya Tula artists.

Expand full comment

Yes the 65,000 years is a ridiculous lie but that is the claim now. Just shows how little they progressed since they got here and ate/ murdered the 1st people who arrived.

Brilliant James - thank you. We appreciate your insight & ‘cut through’ on these hot topics as 2024 is going to be another year of spin & deception by Govt leaders (& public servants). We’ll be cheering you on!

Love the Saturday inoculation & hope you can keep it up as the year takes off 🙏🏻

Certainly agree with your comment on the US Supreme Court review of the Colorado decision regarding Trump. Surely it can’t possibly uphold such a dangerous ruling?

A Cost of Living Minister? Oh yes, of course! That's just what we need! (to bleed the economy dry!) I mean, how can you have a Treasurer and a Finance Minister without having a Cost of Living Minister?!

But why stop there? What about a Global Warming Minister and a Net Zero Emissions Minister? Or an Indigenous Voice Minister and a Makarrata Minister?

What work is an Assistant Minister for the Republic doing from 9am to 5pm every day from Monday to Friday? Maybe overtime on weekends even? And what is a Minister for the Republic doing all day long in his office? Will that lot on Capital Hill even invent a Minister for Thumb-twiddling along with a large supporting staff?

It is interesting to note that all nazi salutes, memoribilia etc are to be banned on punishment of one year in gaol for a nazi salute. I dont recall seeing any evidence of that stuff where I live (in the bush) but I see plenty of clenched fist, raised arm of black power notably in the Senate of our federal parliament. What is more relevant Mr Dreufus? an80 year old gesture or modern current and spreading ?

And what about those damned Muslim hate preachers? Screaming for the blood of Jews everywhere -- here, in Australia!!!!! Our hopeless police forces come with lame excuses like:" This does not amount to hate preaching 'under the law'!!!!! What???? And what about Lidia Thorpe's racist thunderings? This deplorable English/Irish-Abo halfcast granny is allowed to trample on all of us with impunity!!! Why isn't she frog-marched out the door every time she opens up with her hate tirade in parliament.?

Expand full comment

Why not indeed ? Her behaviour should see her expelled from parliament forthwith --hateful creature that she is .

Expand full comment

Yes don't forget a minister gets paid more than just a member of parliament . Another good job for loyal party member. Also don't forget a minister must have a large budget to spend, will also need lots of employees in a department, more jobs for the loyal hard working public servants of our wonderfully useless capital city.

And since such staff members are almost always made up by females, what are these girls doing all day long? Chatting, comparing make-ups and drinking coffees?

The Assistant Minister for the Republic could just as well be the Deputy Premier of Victoria!

Expand full comment

Hey, if that is a bad joke, I am not amused.

Expand full comment

Daniel Andrews, along with the rest of his Government, founded what is regarded by many, as the 'Republic of Victoria'. His relentless tyranny over the past four years is what brought about this. The Deputy Premier's job is to work as an assistant to the Premier. Yes, I am having a dig at the VIC Government. They deserve it. What is not amusing about that?

James, when it comes to Israel, as far as the woke west are concerned, there is no such thing as moral absolutes. But when it comes to Gaza, suddenly the woke west will be the first to express their belief in moral absolutes when they say "What about the children of Gaza?!".

Yeah, nah. You're spot on. The woke west do not believe in moral absolutes. Their foundation is built on lies and deception.

Don't we have a navy somewhere? We could send one or even two of our galleys to the Bab el Mandeb and then pour Greek fire on the Houtis if they dare to come close with their drone boats.

Congratulations James for the week you had on the MacBolt report. Sky News needs to drop Bolt and slide you into that slot. You are too good to be used as a stand in.

Saturday Sanity Check.

Now there’s a group of subjects to ponder.

Brief answers:-

. Referendum in the second term? Only if they want another hiding from the public if they are still around.

. Global inflation? Someone should tell them about other

Countries.

. Israel has almost no friends?

Cowardice from so many world leaders.

. Trump? Like him or loathe him, he is the only hope the US has.

. Dr. Kerryn Phelps?

Pfft!

. Funding homes in remote communities?

Just more firewood for them.

. Welcome to country?

Yeah! Nah! Was never a good idea. Over it.

. Treasury and Finance proposals to ease cost of living?

They are a large part of the problem and they have had ample time to solve it.

. Renewables?

Should never have been started in the first place but they will never admit it.

. Press release about attacks on shipping in the Red Sea?

Albo is really flexing his muscles now.

. Stronger laws against hate speech?

They are not game to try the laws we already have now.

Andrew Bolt does a great job - he's a valuable member of the sky news team. James Macpherson and Andrew Bolt are very different journalists/presenters/hosts. (whatever you call them - excuse my ignorance. James, educate me on the correct titles here, would you please? Sorry - I know, I'm such a dill!) Anyway, I think Sky should have both these men on equally, not one or the other! Wouldn't that be great?!
