On Bathrooms and Subsets of Men
There is a reason, historically, that we have single sex spaces
“Transwomen are women”, or so the saying goes. But it’s just not true.
Transwoman are not a subset of women, they are a subset of men.
This should not be difficult to comprehend. After all, a transwoman is - for all intents and purposes - a man.
No matter what hormones a transwoman has taken, or what surgery a transwoman has undergone, absolutely nothing occurs at either a cellular or metaphysical level to make that transwoman anything other than - for all intents and purposes - a man.
A transwoman might live his entire life in a way that is socially expected of a woman. A transwoman might play the part of someone typically considered a woman. And if that makes him happy, who is anyone to stop him?
But none of that changes the fact that the transwoman was born a male, and will die a male.
When you understand all of this, you understand why society has similar expectations of transwomen as it does of men when it comes to women’s bathrooms.
Not all men are sexual predators, but all men appreciate that in order to protect girls and women from a small number of predators, the privacy of women and children must be respected by all men.
Obviously no man likes being lumped in with the worst of men, but this is not about feelings; it’s about ensuring the safety of women and children.
No one is saying that all men are predators who wish females harm, or that all transwomen are predators who wish females harm.
Sensible people are saying that no one knows which males are predators and wish women harm. For this reason, men - and subsets of men - are not permitted in female private spaces.
Transwomen are not allowed into female toilets and change rooms because no men are allowed into female toilets and change rooms.
Or, to put it another way, if transwomen are allowed into female spaces, why not all men? What’s the difference?
Some people want to abolish gendered spaces completely.
‘Let’s jut have unisex bathrooms,’ they say as if they are very enlightened individuals.
There is a reason, historically, that we have single sex spaces. It is not only short sighted, it is flat out dangerous to think mixing all spaces is going to be good for women and children.
When one considers we live in a time of history where an article of such basic, reasoned, biologically factual certainty even needs to be written and be thought of as a controversial point of view tells you just how far down the gurgler this world is. Keep speaking truth in the face of madness Mr Macpherson, those voices are few and far between.
We used to have lunatic asylums for people who were so delusional they couldn’t comprehend reality.
They would be full to over flowing if we brought them back today.
