All the non-binary pronouns which we are being compelled to use under threat of legal action are doing my head in. If I can't immediately tell whether a person is a he or a she, my preferred pronoun for that person is "it". And the "they, them" preference by many is quite apt because as far as I know, these are plural pronouns. Does this suggest multiple personalities? Now that would explain a lot wouldn't it? Isn't schizophrenia a mental disorder?
