I've always wondered why the tax payer, that's um you and me, is forced to pay licence fees for all the garbage movies and documentaries, and vile sexual informationals through the SBS, and the useless and extreme left-wing garbage television on the ABC. I say, remove all the subchannels of the ABC and especially the SBS, all the radio channels and social media channels and get back to just the national broadcaster of truth through a radio channel and a tv channel. We simply can't afford, not should we pay for, billions of dollars of garbage.
I have not taken advantage of "MY ABC" since they discontinued the Argonauts Club except when in Port Hedland in 1976 when there was only only one TV channel and not much of that either . Friday nights at 7 pm was a gripping docudrama called "Green Fingers and such gripping ,attention grabbing advice on "How to build a compost heap "and other such stuff gauranteed to keep the pubs full until closing time .

Make them all subscriber only. A news service and rural information service only funded by taxpayers.
