As always you say what I have been mulling around in the back of my mind. It is like a preened war for politicians and celebrities to have photo ops and "experience ' the theatre of war. I think we should stay out out and let hem get on with it. Either way it is unwindable for both sides. The Russian army is poppy paid , poorly fed and poorly housed. So not much incentive there.
It appears that poor Mr Putin is not getting visitors at all??? He always looks downcast, sad and lonely!! Perhaps you, James, being OUR famous personality, could be the first to go hang out with him???
The only ones suffering are the plebs. So many lives have been ruined on both sides. What is going on behind the scenes. Ukrainians are displaced and terrorised while their Prime Minister comes across as a hero. There is something very odd about that war and we would do well tostay out of it. But no, we given them our tanks nd coal and anything they want while we are depleted militarily - very odd indeed
And the dangers of escalation are real. Putin has already threatened to bring out the nukes. ‘Wars and rumours of wars’.
Imagine a WW III involving Russia allied with China, Iran and North Korea vs the West.
In the aftermath a new world order could emerge.. and to prevent another war from occurring - and for everyone’s health & safety (of course) - there would need to be a global government with totalitarian control..
