Israel Asks the Civilised World: "Where the Hell Are You?"

I hate to break it to you Mr Netanyahu, but it no longer exists

Where the hell are you? The civilised world, I mean.

Do you even exist anymore?

And where the hell is it? The moral clarity, I mean.

Does anyone know where it went? We used to have it. I know my grandparents possessed it. But now, it is nowhere to be found. Does it still exist? And if it cannot be recovered, where does that leave us?

Hundreds of Israeli women were brutally raped and murdered on October 7

There is eye-witness testimony of the rapes. There is video evidence of the rapes. There are now forensic medical reports detailing the rapes. And there is complete silence about the rapes.

The United Nations Women waited almost two months before finally getting around to acknowledging the fact that Jewish women had been brutally raped by Hamas.

Two months!

Even then, they didn’t mention Hamas.

And UN Women made sure their statement about what Jewish women suffered contained the now obligatory balancing statement about Palestinian suffering. The UN wouldn’t want to be seen to be taking the side of butchered Jews, after all.

#metoo unless you are a Jew.

“Believe all women” unless they are Jewish women, in which case the world will dismiss reports of rape unless they can be proved. And note - video evidence, eye witness reports and confessions by the perpetrators themselves don’t count as proof.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his utter disbelief at the world’s reaction - or lack their of - to the barbaric sex crimes committed against his people’s women.

Exasperated, he told journalists …

“I say to the women’s rights organisations, to the human rights organisations - you’ve heard of the rape of Israeli women, horrible atrocities, sexual mutilation.

“Where the hell are you?

“I expect all civilised leaders, governments and nations to speak up against this atrocity.”

I share Netanyahu’s frustration.

Are we to conclude that the mute response from civilised society means there is no longer a civilised society to be found?

As for moral clarity, is that simply asking too much?

The West cannot muster the clarity to call out men who identify as women in order to colonise women’s sports. We’re all about “inclusion”, you see.

Does Netanyahu really expect us to call out rapists? That would require us condemning Islamic jihadis identifying as freedom fighters in order to exterminate Jews. We’re all about “inclusion”, remember.

The West is all about tolerance and empathy and kindness, which has made us incapable of conviction, devoid of courage and completely lacking in clarity.

We don’t know what a woman is.

We fear the weather.

We hate ourselves.

We care only about feelings.

We kill our own children and import other people’s.

We insist hurty words are violence while ignoring actual violence.

We believe in anything and everything but never something because something is too exclusionary of anything and everything.

The only thing we see clearly is that things are far too complicated to see clearly, and so we’d rather not proffer opinions other than to opine that it is bigoted to proffer opinions.

We believe in nothing. And so in the face of evil we will do nothing while congratulating ourselves on doing nothing as being evidence of our enlightenment.

The presidents of Harvard and Penn University were asked this week whether calling for the genocide of the Jews (aka, another Holocaust) violated their code of conduct.

And their answer?

“It depends.”

Did they lose their moral compass? Or were they simply terrified of their own students; students they created?

Probably both.

But Prime Minister Netanyahu, to answer your question, ‘Where the hell is the civilised world?’

I fear it is gone sir.

I’m pretty sure we cancelled it.
