Bishop Ussher calculated the date of Messiah's birth from biblical life times as being 4004 since Adam was created give or take a year or two. That would make our date since creation at 6027.
Some believe the second coming will be at the year 6,000 for the 6 days of creation with the Millennium bringing in the 1,000 years of rest reflecting God resting on the 7th day. A thousand years in God's sight is like a day, etc.
Of course this all assumes that Malarchy was a prophet speaking for God and that those verses are to be used in this way. I think it is more likely that he was given the story from Satan and that the text is taken out of context as a pretext for a proof text. There will be many false teachers in the last days.
Francis is clearly demonstrating that RC religion is man based as he believes we can control the weather. This is unbiblical and shows he is a false prophet as many of his followers would agree too.
