All lives are equal? Is the life of Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of militant Hamas, the Qassam brigades, and who orchestrated the pogrom of the 7th October 2023, equal to the life of the Jewish baby found roasted in an oven?

Awww Heck! When will sportsmen/women realize it is only the advertising agents who count how many of the myriads of logos worn by their walking bill boards that are seen, matter to no one else?

I thought the little cricketer, who by the by is only a sportsman in my eyes, was a human being who matters. The last sporting hero who wore his Christianity by his actions on and off the field, was forced into oblivion. Why do we fear a Muslim who stencils his shoes for the on-field activities? If we went to the mosque, we probably would see shoes lined up at the door with every symbol of protestations known to the world. eg. Iranians wear the flag of Israel on the souls of their clod hoppers. We don't see it but that is a silent protest by them. It is the Imams or mosque leaders who are pushing those important figures in society to air their souls and push for the antihalation of all Jews everywhere. Not all Lives matter apparently.

Sports people should stick with their jobs of being highly paid entertainers within their chosen fields and stay the hell away from political statements.

They are entitled to their own opinions but should keep them for private discussions with family and friends and not in the public domain.

From the river to the sea, Usman's shoes must be free - how's that? (sounds like Richie Benaud)

Love it! spot on as always.

maybe if he hadn't used specific colours (of the Palestinian flag) he could have maybe gotten away with it, but given he chose those specific colours his message was loud and very clearly biased!!

I never watch or take an interest in sport except my grandson’s cricket team and his prowess as a bowler.

What goose that cricketer is. Ridicule really is the best weapon.

I don't watch it either, nor the football. The only thing I like watching is the start of the Sydney to Hobart yacht race

Oh well. Poor Usman, he'll need to use his spare shoes. Cricket lost me years ago, to be honest it never really had me. I am confused by their stance on this "political " statement when they have gleefully supported so many other lefty politically divisive causes. Just like I lost interest in the footy with all their ridiculous causes. I just want the sport, not the activism.

‘From the pitch to the Stand

Usman’s peace shoes must be manned’ (banned)

And there you go, just when I was beginning to enjoy cricket again in spite of Cummins’ and his contract-breaking climate change tantrums, the Voice, and taking the knee, along comes Usman and his shoes.

Ha ha James. The chant needs a bit of work but it’s a good beginning.

I think he should at least try to make some sort of statement. Maybe he could pretend to fall as he walks out to the pitch and accidentally end up on one knee. After all, I’m sure that worked last time, didn’t it???

How many Muslims actually believe ’all lives matter’ ????
