That Professor is disgusting. I shudder to think what his social gatherings are like.

Kudos to the seven Manly players for standing in their truth. A person’s sexual habits should stay in the bedroom. Imagine watching a match now, you couldn’t concentrate on the game, you’d be wondering who was going to jump who. 😃

I've got to get with the programme, I thought gay pride were just homosexual lion's. Me is unedumacated.

The myth of Pacific Islanders' queerness, is just that a myth. Anthropologist Margaret Mead and her mentor Franz Boaz popularised this fantasy after transcribing stories from the natives they lived amongst. Turns out the natives had a sense of humour, they told Mead fantastic tales of unbridled, lust and fluid sexuality and she wrote it all down, quite unaware that they were just taking the piss.

Years later, some of the (still living) interviewees came clean on the scam.

Excellent James. Again, thank you for eloquently putting what most of us are thinking. If only the good Professor would read it.

The professor had me at “….mental inclusion of sexual diversity”. So it is all on the head after all.

Christianity has its roots in Judaism a Near Eastern Religion: It’s not a ‘White man’s religion’. Christ was not a western white man.

Guess we can’t be a professor of everything.

Great article, James. The ABC would love to introduce us all to ‘Queer Jesus’. Maybe they could educamate him too! 😳

Hopefully the Professor can now turn his attention to the highlights of Australia's pre-colonial era, when mysogyny, infanticide and cannibalism were activities everyone took for granted.

The good old days.

Nailed it again James, thank you.

I was shocked listening to that professor. He actually wants Pacific Islanders to reject their Christian faith, so that they can what? Return to pre-colonial paganism where sexuality is fluid? Outrageous!

And then to shamelessly twist the meaning of agape love into perverted sexual lust. Wow.

And of course, the host Marc Fennell had no objections because he’d already thrown out his Christian faith years ago.

Indeed. It turns out conversion therapy IS permitted after all ... as long as it's conversion to homosexuality! lol
