I know of a couple of Magpies who may be suitable for recruitment. Only in spring of course, but I'm sure our enemies will wait until we are ready.

Actually, it's because the ADF are still using homing Pigeons to carry their communications James and they take around 8 years to make the journey from Holland to Australia......It's far more secure than Google.

Just love it James a good laugh

(and probably for the rest of the world too) what absolute fools run this country (for now).

‘What next? Trained dolphins to replace our Collins Class submarines?’ 🤣🤣Yep Richard Marles is probably checking our Marina’s now for suitable ‘flippers’ as you write.

Next will it be carrier pigeons reinstated!!

First, the Dutch have been training eagles to take out drones. I would love to have my very own so I could take out all the drones that intrude and disturb the peace of a walk anywhere. I hate the things!!

As for our defence force - personnel on the ground great. The idiots running the defence forces- MIA. We might as well invite the barbarian in. Oh wait we have already- that’s who are on our streets, clogging up our cities and rioting on the streets land ensconced in those apartment towers on the Paramatta River....

Great piece though, James.

Someone will eventually but it won’t be pretty. I have written to the premier about the poor and laughable response by the police about the riots happening in cities. I told him we won’t be going anywhere near the CBD for the near future till he makes the streets safe again.

you might all laugh and snicker, but this is the beginnings of a new era in the Australian Military . Its Fauna Corps , Trained Eagles to counter drones, trained mosquitos to infect invaders with Ross River Virus, trained Crocodiles, Taipans and Fire ants to molest the invaders. All led by General Skippy (the Bush Kangaroo,) This will be a carbon emission free Corps, a valuable contribution to saving the planet and protecting Australia

Great piece James, very funny & spot on!

It’s sad to see how pathetic we are becoming over such a short period of time.

Everything this bozo government touches turns us into laughing stock. They are malevolent blundering incompetents & quite frankly embarrassing.

We have become just a mere shadow of our former selves. 😡🤬

Good laugh James, but it really is time the ADF got serious about preparing for war. Australian companies are already producing what is required in drone warfare and defence. Admittedly, we don’t want to see money wasted on unsuitable equipment but anything would be an improvement on eagles and hawks.

At the beginning of my RAAMC (Medical Corps) Training in preparation to go to SVN, my unit was fully skilled in, no not wound care, no not surgical skills, .....gardening! I spent most of my time pulling out weeds, sweeping barracks and mess hall, spit polishing my kit and painting rocks, (which lined our tent quarters) white so we didn't fall over them on our way to or from parade times. I learned the art of washing dishes and mopping floors which gave me housemaids knees. Came in mighty handy in my marriage though!

Hilarious, James, love it! What a featherbrained idea. It could only come from the Labor Party. Meanwhile as they’re ruminating on this idea for eight years, we’ve become a nation of Chinese commies, Palestinian terrorists with all their mates from Iran and every other Muslim country you can think of, an unhealthy splattering of Houthis, the odd Russian thousand or two, heaps of machete bearing Africans and any other anti West culture you can name. Two eagles don’t stand a chance!
