This is a very very bad and dangerous deal i understand Benjamin is under great pressure to bring the hostages home but at what cost ,it is going to help Hamas regroup I think the only way for Israel to destroy Hamas is to completely destroy Gaza, we know there will be massive loss of lives but when America bombed Hiroshima they must have known there would be massive casualty's but it ended the war in Japan Israel has got to do the same,

The next 42 days are going to interesting. I don't believe that Hamas can stick to the deal for its entirety. I pray that Trump and Netanyahu can move forward in agreement and be the whirlwind that Hamas should be reaping.

I would be surprised if it lasts a week! The IDF are sitting ducks in Gaza now.

A good double .. Benjamin Netanyahu -And Donald Trump - I was disgusted to see on seven afternoon news Penny Wrong blathering about the "good deal" as if she /it /her ? had anything to do with it .

This all seems so bizarre to me. I’m praying Trump has an actual plan to finish this insanity because this is far from a good deal.

It's been fascinating/revealing watching foreign broadcasts of the hostages' release...but most revealing and disturbing are the comments of the viewers. Here, in James's comment section, is a comforting echo chamber of relatively similarly held values...but the comments on other news outlets are cringe worthy, anti Israel, sometimes stupid, sometimes fierce, many comments indicative of a lack of any historical knowledge of Israel's history. I admit to being alarmed at the broadness of anti Israel sentiment, fed in part by journalists who haven't done due diligence in their reporting, or are distinctly anti Israel/Jewish. The situation is complex. Watching the release of the girls in the mayhem and bravado and menace of Gaza did not reassure me that Gaza will be any better a neighbour.

Footage of the release shows hostages wearing necklaces with the Palestinian flag and gave them paper bags containing the maps of Gaza with the location of where they were held to taunt Israeli security forces. We'll hear, like the other released hostages how they forced them to smile for the cameras. They are the modern day Nazis and sadly we live among too many of them in Australia.

In the aftermath of 7th October 2023 Benjamin Netanyahu wrote to the IDF "Remember what Amalek did to you". This was a quote from Deuteronomy 25:17 and it stirred up a controversy. The Amaleks were the implacable enemies of the Israelites for ALL GENERATIONS even to the end of this age. The Amaleks are the descendants of Amalek, grandson of Esau, twin brother of Jacob. Esau mixed racially with many Gentiles, but the Amaleks were the worst - Terrorists every one of them. They tried for ever to get the Promised Land back which Esau, the older twin holding the birth right, sold to Jacob for a bowl of lentil soup. Their catch cry: "From the River to the Sea" echoes today from ancient times past.

Fact can be stranger than fiction: a bowl of soup over 3000 years ago is at the bottom of all these troubles.

Tragic that Israel is put in a terrible situation where they must do a deal with these demonic monsters.

The eating game for the relatives not knowing will their loved ones be released alive or in a body bag, must be so traumatic.

And of course the hostages, will they be released or murdered before that happens.

May God in His mercy turn this situation around 🙏🏻

Feeling sorry for Gazans is a bit like wet dream people crying about Nagasaki and Hiroshima I have had the privilidge of knowing several men who suffered as POW of the Japs and therefor I have no feelings of "guilt "for what happened . The bloody Japs asked for it and they got it in spades ---like Hamas and Gaza,

I question whether there are Arabs in Gaza or Jydea and Samaria who don’t support terrorists. Where are they? Why don’t they help the IDF find the hostages.

It is the same in Britain with the raping gangs. Where are the supposed peaceful Muslims who blew the whistle, who supported the teacher at Batley Grammar School, who are whistle blowers here against the Jew haters on the streets and the ones who speak out against the synagogue and car drivers burning. Who want to assimilate and take off the medieval clothing?

This is a terrible deal and I sure hope Trump does better when he is finally president. If this deal is one he helped broker then he is a disappointment already.

Sadly, too many bystanders. Not enough upstanders. If we had a government with a backbone and more upstanders, Australia would be different right now.

It confirms the evil ,stupidity, corruption and the level of antisemitism in the world.

It is only a pause in the battle of Hamas and Irans proxies to eliminate Israel and world Jewry under the guise of wanting an independent Palestinian country.

What is planned for Israel and world Jewry is happening to Christians across Africa and the the middle east, including Pakistan yet large parts of the world choose to stay silent

The Christian population of Bethlehem has dropped from 86% in 1950, to 30% in 1980 to circa 10% in 2022. Bethlehem is in the West bank under PA control .

James and your team thank you for highlighting whats happening and doing everything you can to bring this to peoples attention but I sometimes feel we are all swimming against the tide

Let’s call it Jew hating. Anti semitism is a misleading word. Semites are from the Middle East, aren’t they usually Arabs?

Expand full comment
Axel Hart's avatar

I think 'Semite" comes from Shem (Sem) son of Noah. They are his descendants. The descendants of Ham, also Noah's son, became the enemies of the Shemites. Nimrod, a Hamite, was killed by Shem and his body parts were distributed all over the first Babylonian empire.

THe term "Antisemitism" was first used by the German journalist and politician Wilhelm Marr in 1879 . He wanted to find a euphemisim more acceptable to the public ear of the German expression "Judenhasse" "Jew hatred." The term "Anti semitism was more cultured and was specifically meant to apply to Jews

His seminal text published in 1879 "The Way of Victory of Germanism over Judaism " ( english translation of the title ) which basically said that total victory was the only way forward. In that year he founded the "League of Antisemites" Sounds better than the League of JewHaters

Ironically 2 of Marrs 4 wives were Jewish

Again, every word true! You cannot make peace with the Devil. Evil doesn’t want peace. It wants to destroy and control. It wants to take God’s place. It wants to be God just like Lucifer when he rebelled against God’s authority. It’s the exact same story told over and over again. There will never be peace and everyone will continue to take the side of the Devil as there is in far too many people an irrational latent hatred of the Jews, the ancient hatred that goes back to Isaac and Esau. It is the fruit of evil, sour and bitter.

Isaac and Rebecca were the parents of Esau and Jacob/Israel. The first time the Jews are mentioned by that name, was when Israel - the 10 northern tribes, capital Samaria, - went to war against Judea - Capital Jerusalem - . Jews are the national inhabitants of Judea and their present descendants. They are made up of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin plus a sprinkling of other Israelites.
