Consider this - your banking transaction card is stolen or lost. You put a temporary 10 day block on the card to organise a replacement so the bank gives you cash to survive. If a business can legally refuse cash, how do you survive?

Time to buy silver and gold and dig a pit in your backyard so they don't have to put up with our money.

The inflation rate and the loss of the US dollar as the main currency will make precious metals a good investment.

I can assure all readers that a digital CBDC is on the way as is a social credit system where you will be punished and removed from society unless you comply with the approved orthodoxy the ruling class demands.

Thanks, James for pointing out that so called inclusive woken ideologies tend to be exclusive.. We used to put money in the bank to keep it safe from thieves but now these mongrels with their "inclusive dogma" are robbing people that do not see the world through their perverted, tinted lens. Winding up cash has so many effects and anytime you talk to people about $50 with digital transaction fees becoming approx $20 after 30 transactions, they just say well what can we do. If we all kept to cash we wouldn't be in the situation where we are now the banks slaves. We are paying dearly for supposed convenience. Did anyone mention scams from online banking? Nameless faceless people stealing your money with the banks system. At least with cash, you would see someone's face if they decided to rob you.

Splendour in the Grass is cashless.

I’ve been carrying $250 in cash for 2 days- it’s no longer legal tender at North Byron Parklands.

If it is legal tender, is it not illegal to refuse to accept it?

Apparently so- because the very very very fine print on the ticket says you agree to this on purchasing the ticket. You contract away your right to use cash. Also, I was told, it was to crack down on private vendors ( food stalls) failing to declare full takings by using cash because SIG gets 25% of their takings. All takings go to the event management accounts and the individual stall owners collect their “pay” after the management takes their 25% plus power.

Thanks, Philip. I saw an item on TV yesterday where it said that it is legal for a business to refuse cash!

Why is it that people/corporations love to boast about being inclusive to justify excluding people? EXACTLY!!!

Because they want to be seen to be "With It". They have seen the sorry fate of those who are not!!!

Dear Reader - please refer to Aldous Huxley’s “Brave new world”. It won’t be long before they can send you on a soma holiday. Or worse. Soma was a drug used to stun people into happy oblivion. Totalitarian indeed!

As if we didn’t have enough problems with our politicians wanting to control our lives and remove our freedoms.

Now banks can, with little effort and no thought of ramifications, ruin a persons life and livelihood because they don’t conform to a particular ideology.

It’s all about power, control and loss of freedom.

Bring on the revolution.

What an absolute disgrace. These banks need to be dragged before the Courts while they still can, and publicly disgraced. And relieved of some of its profits.

Courts will most likely support them.

James,

Not sure if you’ve covered it already but I notice that Commbank is already doing carbon monitoring of personal account expenditure. My online banking now shows a detailed breakdown of my carbon usage across various categories and shows me where I pass and fail. I find it disturbing that my bank has taken it upon themselves to open this sort of “social credit” type accounting against me. I didn’t ask for it. It was just imposed on me. Given what has recently happened with Farage I really fear where all this might head.

I would write to them and ask them to stop it. If they don't agree then look around for a better bank that doesn't do it. I had an email from my bank about using ESG and I replied that if they were going to do it then let me know so I can withdraw all my money as they will go broke if they go woke. They didn't do it.

We all know this is coming. We are privileged to be living in the end of the end times which is revealing itself differently from that which I imagined even 20 years ago. I keep thinking of the Children of Israel in the wilderness for 40 years and God fed them every day, their shoes didn't wear out and if they had obeyed God, it would only have been an 11 day journey, but He was faithful to them for those 40 yeaers. So we have nothing to fear. We know where we are going and it must be very soon. Jesus has to take His Bride out before the Tribulation so the judgement can begin. We are in the end of the Beginning of sorrows. This is the exciting bit. We are the generation that will not pass away until all these things come to pass
