Everything is de-Kleining. Turns out the slippery slope fallacy is sometimes a slippery slope reality. Or maybe it’s not a slope. It’s more of a long downward spiral. In the space of 20 years, Calvin Klein have gone from using healthy bodied women to advertise their brand, to normalising unhealthy body shapes, to promoting bearded women whose breasts have been removed and whose bodies have been pumped full of testosterone.
The asylums were closed down in the late 1980's due to "civil liberties". We are now reaping the outcome. All the loonies are out and in high places where they think they can influence the masses. I think we need to open the mental hospitals again. However, in saying that, and having had a mother intered in one in Sydney, I have never met a sane psychiatrist!
