'Disingenuous' parents offended by a Sydney Catholic school's stance on lesbian prom couples can simply take their children elsewhere
Catholic girls graduating from a Catholic school got the surprise of their lives last week when they discovered they really had been attending a Catholic school after all.
Mass confusion broke out when Saint Ursula’s College in Sydney advised its female students they could not bring another female as their formal partner - something to do with the church’s 2000-year-old doctrine on sexuality.
Outrage ensued.
Sure the Bible says ‘yada yada’, but hadn’t Australia voted ‘Yes’ to same sex marriage in 2017?
Moses said. Jesus said. The Apostle Paul said. But then 62 per cent of Australians said!
“It is written …”
You know, in the Marriage Act.
Sydney radio hosts slammed the Catholic school, with 2GB’s Chris O’Keefe telling listeners …
“That is a disgrace. That is a disgrace.
“I went to a Catholic High School. It’s 2023 people. Seriously, get over yourselves.
So Chris O’Keefe went to a Catholic school. Who died and made him the Pope?
O’Keefe should know that stating the date is not the same as making an argument.
What he fails to understand is that church doctrine doesn’t ‘get with the times’ for the simple reason that it is beyond the times.
God does not sit in heaven, constantly updating His thinking on things so as to more accurately reflect the mood of the Australian people.
To imagine He does is to imagine a God created in our image, rather than the other way around.
Radio 2GB’s Ben Fordham told listeners …
“We did vote on this back in 2017.
“We weren’t voting on school formals. We were voting on same sex relationships and same sex marriage.
“It has now been legal for almost six years. So you can marry another woman, you just can’t take one to your school formal.”
I like Ben Fordham. But he demonstrates just how secular Australia has become when he expresses genuine surprise that the Catholic Church hasn’t updated its doctrines to conform to cultural trends.
Huh? The church still believes in Christianity? But didn’t we vote?!?!
What if the next opinion poll shows that the majority of Australians no longer believe in God? Should the Catholic Church kill Him off?
Yeah, look God. We’re sorry to tell you this, but we took a vote, and You don’t exist anymore.
The Catholics running the Catholic school are now under pressure from none other than the Catholic premier Chris Minns who told the Sydney Morning Herald …

Remove your children from the catholic school, send them to a public school. There they will get all the LGBTQI minus sign, divided by sign, plus sign, indoctrination, I mean, education they can handle.
Yes, ask the Premier if Islamic schools must allow LGTBQI etc and see what they have to say.
