Unfortunately the machine to be popular requires sensationalist actions to get affirmation. I hope that she gets a chance to experience Jesus' unfathomable love and grace before her actions take a toll on her and her followers.
You're exactly right Greg. Was it Andy Warhol who said that everyone will experience 15 minutes of fame? These days it's more like 3 minutes of fame ... so to stay at the top you must continually be noticed. When there are 8billion people on the planet, pure talent is not enough. So the gimmicks become increasingly ridiculous or, in this case, mind-numbingly familiar.
As you suggest James nothing new here. Jude reminds us "that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts."
Has Madonna been around that long? These little girls are tedious and tiresome and to be pitied. But then there hasn't been very much good popular music since 1979-some but only from the old guys. I was reflecting on the kind of music we used to sing in school and in the very good choirs that belonged to and comparing the to the fare that is served up when I go to an open day at school or what they will sing at the big massed Southern Stars. We sang-Mendelsohn, Schubert, a bit of Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, folk music and the like. At the last open day we were treated to Queen, a bit of 50's (which wasn't too bad)and a little bit of proper kids' music. I hope this paricular artist doesn't get an outing ever. .
The irony of the mockers and scoffers of Christ, is that with all their efforts to undermine and delegitimise the Christian faith, they simply confirm what God's word has to say about those who mock and scoff with every syllable they utter and every depraved idea they express.
They expose themselves for what they truly are because it's not what goes into a man's mouth that defiles him, but what comes out of their mouth that defiles them. For out of the mouth come the intentions of the heart.
As they attempt to 'break free' from the constraints of biblical morality and God's prescribed order, they become more entwined by the self-imposed chains of bondage to sin.
Demi has had a pretty troubled life. A very talented girl who's trying to make her mark in the world while sorting through a lot of baggage. I hope she gets there in the end.
Well put mate, spot on. Bagging out Biblical belief is easy low hanging fruit...
What a sad case of someone wanting attention. All she had to do is scream I need everyone to look at me I need help.
This is total madness. What a terrible way to make money by degrading yourself to the lowest level of perversion of the worse kind.
Too hard for me to even try and fathom this all. I don’t even want to understand her actions.
“Such a yawn” too true. On point James 👊🏼
Perhaps Demi is in need of publicity since her comeback to being a 'She'.
I was outraged and still am. Can’t help it

I appreciate your work James. Keep going
Thanks Matt
“Holy yawn Batman!”
That’s (So) 1980’s sweety…
I loved the 80s!

The longer you live the more you realise it's just old vices in new cloaks.
So true!!
I guess they will find out what writhing really means!
Ha. It's a great word. I hope she finds peace.

You can't go past Billy Joel and Elton John Jillian! :)
I like Billy but not Elton. I am big Beegees and Tom Petty fan.
So good!

I wonder if she'd do the same with Islam. To gutless I'd imagine.
Not a chance. That was really my point. These artists are about as subversive as ice to an Eskimo
