Victorian Liberals suspend a women's rights campaigner to atone for men performing a Nazi salute

The Victorian Liberals believe that suspending a woman because men gatecrashed a women’s rights event will make them appear inclusive and tolerant.

They are cooked.

The Liberal’s voted today to suspend their MP Moira Deeming from the party room for nine months after Nazi’s showed up at an event where she was speaking.

The Liberal position seems to be that Deeming must be suspended from the party room because she knowingly associated with Nazis. Also, in 9 months the party will happily accept back into the party room a member who knowingly associated with Nazis.

I’ve seen contorted positions in the game of Twister that are easier to maintain than the one the Victorian Liberals have taken.

Just how much of a Nazi sympathiser are you allowed to be in the Victorian Liberals?

If Deeming has a soft spot for Nazis, she should be banished forever.

But if Deeming is not actually a Nazi supporter, then why has she been suspended at all?

Of course, Deeming is not a Nazi sympathiser. Her state Liberal leader John Pesutto is, however, an impotent man who wets the bed easily.

When Labor Premier Daniel Andrews accused the Liberals of pandering to Nazis because Deeming happened to speak at an event gatecrashed by men performing Nazi salutes, the weak Pesutto panicked.

He immediately called for his MP to be kicked out of the party room, not just because of the Nazi saluting men, but because he said Deeming had associated with people who had associated with other people who had once interviewed alleged white supremacists.

Instead of supporting his female MP’s call for women’s rights, Pesutto demanded she be booted from the party room in order to atone for a bunch of men performing Nazi salutes and, of course, to help make him appear tough.

But when the party met today to vote on Deeming’s fate, it was decided she would be suspended rather than expelled.

In other words, the impotent Pesutto didn’t have the numbers to get rid of her. An agreement was reached instead to suspended the women’s rights activist in order to save face for her male leader.

And, I must say, a nine month suspension for a female MP for participating in a women’s rights event was a nice touch. The Liberals certainly appreciate symbolism.

Pesutto, in attempting to be a hero to the Woke crowd, has made himself a clown.

And in the meantime, Pesutto’s needless attack on women in his own party has buried headlines about the Independent Broad Based Anti-Corruption Commission’s investigations into Daniel Andrews, as well Daniel Andrews’ secret visit to Communist China.
