The secular world has Christmas banners and lights which pronounce the Christmas theme
of “Peace on earth and goodwill to all men”. All very good in a Lennonesque kumbaya “ imagine, give peace a chance” kinda way, but conveniently omitted from Luke 2:14 which reads, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” is it’s prelude. Its giving glory to God on the highest which ultimately brings “on earth peace, good will toward men.” Sorry Ms Polly.
Polly Toynbee has been a bitter, joyless person for years and this confused article shows it even more. I pray for a revelation of Jesus Christ's love and light to melt her poor heart of stone.

Sadly, sooner or later, whether they like it or not, all will have to face up to the true meaning of Christmas. Every opportunity for laughing at, or mocking, the plans of God will evaporate.
Then, like a recalcitrant school boy caught in the act of cheating, they will have to face the Principal of the universe and give an account of their arrogance and sin.
