Staff at a Melbourne boys school have been told not to use gender specific terms in order to be more inclusive.
I know what you’re thinking …
“More inclusive of what? It’s a school exclusively for boys!”
But you’re only thinking that way because you’re normal. And normal people don’t run things anymore.
The Woketards are in charge of pretty much everything nowadays, and so everything is completely messed up.
Staff at St Bede’s College can’t refer to a boy as a boy at their all boys school just incase one of the boys who likes to think of himself as other than a boy gets upset.
It doesn’t matter that 99.9 per cent of boys at the boys school know that they are boys. You must never refer to them as boys.
Call the boys students.
Call the boys children.
Call those boys anything but boys.
This is to protect the feelings of the 0.1 per cent of boys at the boys school who don’t know they are boys.
The school principal sent a letter to teachers and staff this week, advising they should no longer label students using the words “boy”, “young man”, or “Beda Boy” – the term used when referring to alumni of the secondary school.
The letter, reported in the Herald Sun, is believed to have been sent after Victorian Child Safe Standards were updated mid-year.
The principal wrote:
“As part of this, along with other schools, we are looking at the language we use. Can I ask that we start to use gender neutral language in our communications where possible?
“The use of the term ‘student’ rather than ‘young man’ or ‘boy’ can easily be made. I’m yet to find an alternative for ‘Beda Boy’, and given the history of this term, we would need to think carefully on any changes here.”
Hmmm … if a Beda Boy is not a boy, what is they?
A seahorse?
I can imagine next week’s staff meeting …
Welcome everyone.
We were going to be discussing curriculum improvements today but instead we are going to be brainstorming gender neutral terms with which to completely confuse the boys in our care.
Er, sorry, I mean students.
So there’s our first idea, we could call the you know what’s students.
Now who else has a suggestion?
Parents are paying more than $8000 a year to send their children with penises to this Christian school.
You have to wonder what it is parents are paying for. LGBTQ+ gibberish and gobbledegook? You can get that at any public school for free.'
And why is a Catholic school going along with this rubbish?
If Christians won’t even stand for the simple truth that “God made man in His image, male and female He created them”, what will they stand for?
Catholic Boys School Goes Gender Neutral to Be More Inclusive
Families, LEAVE. THAT. SCHOOL. NOW. How atrocious and feral. When are people going to stop mocking God's creation..
I personally know (have worked with) the Principal of this school.
I am pretty certain that (unless something has changed for her) that she is an emotional captive of this ideology, not an ideologue herself.
Over the past few years, us teachers have been forthrightly told by "experts" that there are more kids than we know about in our schools that will become suicidal if we don't affirm these kids' projected identity.
This comes through from multiple pathways including;
* The Physical Education curriculum (this Principal was a PE teacher) on "Sexuality Education"
* The ACARA General Capabilities Curriculum - Specifically the "Personal and Social Capabilities"
* It is starting to appear in resources to do with Respectful Relationships - which also focuses on boys being inherently problematic.
* It is starting to appear learning around "Consent Training" - which also focuses on boys being inherently problematic.
* Certain resources and training around the new Victorian Child Safe Standards
* Lay understandings of the Victorian Conversation Therapy Laws
* External groups like ACON and Minus18
* Constant media bites like "Our kids will kill themselves because some footballer refused to wear a rainbow
* An environment/culture where certain topics of now off limits because of the "harm" that discussing them will cause.
Teachers/Prinicpals are not experts in this, are not aware of the underlying ideology, have not followed the issues with this in other jurisdictions and don't have time to think deeply on these topics or question the "experts" who come across as well-meaning and caring.
