Unfortunately as you suggest, give an inch and they take a mile. Perhaps if the govt and the company making the pro euthenasia ad are so convinced that dying is for the living, they should give it a try before they suggest it for others.

NDIS is a vast expense with lots of fraud happening. All these expensive people are registered and all their details documented. Allow, then suggest, then offer, then push, then allow oth ers to decide, then mandate. As covid showed, there are plenty of experts willing to order and carry out forcible executions. The Germans had no trouble murdering millions of the unfit and inferior with full public/ patriotic support. Every society has plenty of willing obedient people to carry out mass murder of "the other".
We live in frightening times. Thankfully we have a creator who does love us and provides some restraint on pure evil.
This is shocking beyond words but tragically not surprising for all the reasons James and others give. Hitler, Stalin and Mao Tse Tung were practice runs and will look like Sunday School teachers compared with this global, modern, civilised, sophisticated way to enjoy your life by ending it. And to get rid of all the ‘useless’ people who are just a burden on society. It’s a horror film. The satanic mouth of the abyss has swallowed up all boundaries, godliness and moral behaviour and many there be that are deluded into falling in it. May God rescue them and have mercy! And may God expose and punish satan in all those doing its will.
The good news is that Jesus will eradicate the horror, hopefully soon.
My view is that each person who applies to the MAiD should also have to learn the Christian view that Jesus saves, and hell is real. With a few short testimonies about the nature of hell.

I watched the old movie Soylent Green and a man was euthanised, he was in a room with beautiful music and surrounded with magnificent scenes of nature. He could lie there and as he died, soak in the beauty and peace of it all - WHAT A LIE!!!! Mankind without God is a senseless beast
When the God of the Bible is eliminated from one’s life, then people will fall for anything and everything. Life is no longer sacred, humans are seen as just a higher species. State sanctioned euthanasia promoted by La Maison Simons advert with its gentle narration and inspirational musical score set to beautiful images of bubbles, candle-lit forests, beaches with luminescent whale’ and words “in these kinds of moments you need softness’ seems to be straight out of the 1973 movie ‘Soylent Green.’ In the movie a character chooses state sanctioned euthanasia, which plays out for him as ‘gorgeous wide-screen videos of deer, ocean waves, sunsets and fish set to light classical music.’ The movie depicts a worldwide ecological disaster with rampant global warming, a scarcity of water, starvation and misery unless you are one of the few elite. Coincidentally this dystopian nightmare movie is set in 2022.
After I read this my eyes fell on a book.of prayers at this one:
A declaration to all who are spiritually asleep, "Wake up and see the enemies at your gates! Wake up and see the threats that are before us! Wake up to see the devil crouching at your doors!" Father I ask that your Spirit stir the hearts of those who are apathetic to your ways and alert them to the dangers ahead. May the fear of the Lord fall upon those who have yet to see the battles at hand!

Clearly MAiD is cheaper then a wheel chair ramp and no on going maintenance cost. A win win here.
