Just do the opposite to what the government demands.

EVs are probably beaut for people in Singapore. Some poor sod in WA drove 400 km to Albany and then headed back to Perth. He tried to charge up at Kojonup, the charger didn't work, a nearby town about 60 km away, their charger hadn't worked since August. Car was brought back to Perth on a flat bed truck. Interestingly GM reports a 23% increase in orders for internal combustion cars (ICE).

I read in the Telegraph today that people are " flocking"to purchase EV and hybrid cars and in the same paper reported that petrol and diesel car orders are up by 23%(!) so who is the liar ? My bet the wogs propaganda machine is that it has got it WRONG again.

The government should always be excluded from: the bedroom; the kitchen; the church and the market place.

I appreciate that some of the owners of these vehicles think they are doing the right thing. Others may be just virtue signalling and others just plain showing off their wealth. In my opinion, Ev's along with most renewable energy sources are and environmental time bomb. I see major issues into the future with these contraptions. I'll bet those of us in rural areas will be expected to store these un recyclable, toxic menaces.

They are becoming a status symbol.

I wouldn’t use an EV even if someone bought me one. 😂 Passengers and drivers are getting sick when travelling in them, which I find fascinating. Seeing the lines of people waiting to charge them is excellent and considering the price, they just allow some level of virtue signalling, which shows us they’re idiots with too much money. We went to Canberra for Easter and passed a few along the way. A couple of accidents caused a long line of extremely slow traffic and we watched the Tesla next to us, hoping he’d run out of charge.

This picture of electric cars lining up for a recharge reminds me of a song by Aretha Franklin: "Chain of Fools".

"Chain, chain, chain.........chain of fools....." The tune comes back to me.

Hilarious! If it wasn't so serious. What you didn't mention is that the power in SA, especially in the mornings, usually has a solid inflow of power from Vic brown coal. So those Teslas are ...coal cars!

SA seem to be pretty stupid when it comes to electricity. They blew up a working coal fired power station some time ago (that was located IN a coalfield )then run out of power (oops didnt think of that )and now rely on coal fired power from Vic and NSW plus tens of thousand litres of diesel naturally imported to keep the lights on , Not a problem Sen. Two -dads reckons that a wind mill (?)outside the big alluminium smelter will solve that problem . What did South Australians use before candles ? why .electricity of course .

So true. If the government really wants us to take up EV's then make them better than any other mode of transport ever, like you said, people wanted to buy the 'horse-less carriages' when they came out as they were better than the horse and cart. It was obvious. Now you can't charge an EV in your house as your garage and house might catch fire and burn down, you have to wait for hours to charge up. And the darn things don't recycle and can't be repaired. When the battery is had it you have to throw the whole thing out and start again. Where is the sense in EV's??!?!?!?! There is none.

The whole thing is a hare-brained idea.

That Axel, would appear to defame hares.

What idiot provides the goods without infrastructure to support said goods, it’s like putting the cart before the horse, if they wanted to roll out ev’s they should have planned and put in place the required infrastructure to support it, not supply the car then wait forever to put in chargers - idiots

What idiots? The ones 30% of Australians elected

"What idiot provides the goods without infrastructure to support said goods?" Albanese and Adam Bandt.

Sounds just like the Government's plan when it comes to immigration! Allow loads of foreigners into the country without first supplying the infrastructure to accommodate for this!

Takes me five minutes to fill up my humble little Suzuki Swift with fuel and pay for it. And I am perfectly happy with this arrangement!

The sort of people that they are importing can probably revert to custom live in hovels and burn dried cow shit for fuel.
