Thank goodness that the real church of Christ is not a building, nor a denomination, but rather, the true followers of Christ. Like the bible says, you will know them by their fruits.
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them." Matthew 7:15-20
There is nothing surprising about whatever the Church of England in England does. There are breakaway churches in the UK. Evangelical Anglicans who have left the communion.
The Church of England is no longer. As sad as that is, it is the truth. They have a King who is supposed to ge the head of it, who is more leaning to Islam than Jesus. What can they expect? There were so many great people who came from the C of E and missionaries sent around the world. But they lost their way. I am always mindful of Pilgrims Progress written by that Godly man, John Bunyan in Bedford jail, where Christian, who is on his journey to the Celestial City came to Vanity Fair, and the people there were carousing and living carelessly when the Prince of the Power of the Air rode in and everyone bowed their knee to him, all except Christian and his friend Faithful. They were thrown into jail and Faithful was burnt at the stake. The English have given so much to the world but they let their guard down and now look at them!!! By the way, I really like Liz Storer, she speaks so much sense.
Yeah, I really like listening to what Liz Storer has to say, too. She is very articulate and doesn't beat around the bush. She says what she means and puts all the lefty clowns in their place good and proper with one firm swipe! It is so refreshing listening to Liz - she's wonderful!
We always love listening to James Macpherson too, of course!
I like Liz too, except when she bangs on about how smart she is and all her degrees and homeschooling - like seriously stop talking yourself up its so unnecessary and just makes her look narcissistic and like she thinks she's better than everybody else, some of us are just as smart and insightful without a degree
I recently signed up , got sick of having dodgy reception (and always when it was show I really wanted to watch) I didn't want to pay subscription but it was the cheaper alternative to paying for a new antenna cable in a dodgy rental property! Now i can watch anything I miss when I have spare time :)
Yep I'm in Sydney in the Hills, I shouldn't be able to get what I get given 56 is a regional channel, but I'm blessed when the wind isn't blowing too hard or its not too hot and the reception is good (right now its not [insert angry emoji]), I'm not a fan of paying for TV and only get my kids Netflix over Christmas holidays (yep I'm a mean mum sometimes LOL) It's a real shame Sky News isn't mainstream free to air nationally, it would reach far more people and is a far better alternative to all the other rubbish on the other channels.
The local inner city Anglican church erects a banner on the church wall inviting all to pay worship to Gaia, while inside their congregation dwindles to a few elderly and frail. The same sex community, the transexuals, and the erstwhile refugees have all gone to another heaven.
Ill bet the tykes wont go for this crap. An old mate of mine was an Anglican Priest in Katherine in the NT and he certainly knew his way around the bush. I lost track of him years ago and when I tried to track him down I was put onto a retired clergy man, the former Bishop of the NT who I had been aquainted with in the early 70s.He informed me that BP (Brother Paul) had left the Anglican Church and converted to Catholicism and had become a priest in that religion. His reason was the falling to bits of the Church starting with the ordination of women into the priesthood for a start He said that there were other issues ,but didn't elaborate. I was able to find him(BP) in Darwin hospital the day that he died ,so I wasn't able to speak to him.
I hope they don't Bob, being a lapsed Catholic myself. The Anglicans seem especially good at woke rubbish. Bugger that you missed that last conversation with Father Paul.
Yes it was a pity as he was always good for a yarn, one in particular that I fondly remember was after his first service after arrival from UK in the late 50s when then the local squattocracy drove him "out to the station" (a mere 2 hour drive over rough roads) and on arrival all and sundry were there to greet their new parson. He told me that he was dying of thirst by now and was offered a bottle of beer and a glass. His reply in his fresh pommy accent(his words ) ah no thank you but I would rather fancy a small gin. he said it took 10minutes for the roars of laughter to subside when he was appraised of the significance of his innocent gaff. He was a real mans man in a very hard environment

Church of England (UK) fast becoming C of E, Christmas and Easter only attendees.

I only have one more month to watch them. Daylight savings ends and they will be on at 10 pm which is past bedtime!
awww
Can you always watch on replay. A lot of people watch it back at a more convenient time.

‘Church of England’ and ‘woke’ in the same sentence is a tautology!
That’s very sad. It should be an oxymoron.

That’s happening all over the place.
