Millions of martyrs suffered and died during those long centuries of papal power. But "the earth helped the woman." The people of God that were not immediately slain fled into the wilderness regions of Europe and into retired places—as far from Rome as they could flee. Men and women of God were willing to go to the ends of the earth if thereby they might worship their Creator according to the Bible and train their children in Bible religion. We need more such men and women today. "And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." Revelation 12:17. Satan's effort to destroy the people of God and to remove Bible principles from their lives continues even to the present time. First, he persecuted Christ through pagan Rome. Next he persecuted the church in the first centuries through pagan Rome. Then he brought the world into the church and persecuted the faithful followers of God through papal-Rome for 1260 years. Finally, according to Bible prophecy, he will seek to destroy those at the end of time who by faith are obeying God. Revelation 12:17 tells us that he ultimately makes war "with the remnant of her seed." The "remnant", church is the "Last" church in these last days. Revelation 14:12 is a parallel verse. Two verses before the second coming of Christ we are told, "Here is the patience of the saints: Here are they that keep the commandments, of God, and the faith of Jesus. " God is calling out from the world a; people that will, by faith in the overcoming power of Christ to obey all of His commandments. The time has come to throw off the last vestiges of papal corruption and return to a pure Bible religion. For that is the only religion that God ever intended that we have.

[Two dominant elements brought into Christianity from paganism by Rome were Sun worship symbols and the religious practices of ancient Babylon]. "the solar theology of the Chaldeans [Babylonians], had a decisive effect. . [upon the] final form reached by the religion of the pagan Semites, and following them, by that of the Romans when [the Roman emperor] Aurelian, the conqueror of Palmyra, had raised 'Sol Invictus' [the 20 invincible sun-god] to the rank of supreme divinity in the Empire."—The Cambridge Ancient History, vol. 11, pp. 643, 646-647. From Palmyra he transferred to the new sanctuary the images of Helios [the sun-god] and Bel, the ancient patron god of Babylon—see Cumont, The Oriental Religions in Roman Paganism, 191I edition, pp. 114-115. 124. "They have assumed infallibility, which belongs only to God. They profess to forgive sins, which belongs only to God. They profess to open and shut heaven, which belongs only to God. They profess to be higher than alt the kings of the earth, which belongs only to God. And they go beyond God in pretending to loose whole nations from their oath of allegiance to their kings, when such kings do not please them. And they go against God, when they give indulgences for sin. This is the worst of all blasphemies." Adam Clarke, Commentary, on Daniel 7:25.

How terrible! Thank you for pointing this out James. Little by little our civilization is being weeded away...

Wow, that’s a biggy James, thanks for highlighting.

This is just another example of this government governing by stealth; Albo, Wong & co are sneaky, conniving & dangerous!,

They need go!!!

What is our "chief mischief " up to now!

I'm coming to see computer modelling based on statistics is like the white rabbit pulled from a magician's hat. Time to reflect!

The apostle John stood amazed at the deception! Revelation 13 ans especially 18v23 when you translate the word "sorceries" into "Greek" the jigsaw puzzle of the last 4 years starts to come together.

The way the world is going, there won't be a census in 2026 'cause we won't be around either.

Praying you are right!!

What’s that saying? “ Lies, damned lies, and bloody statistics.”

At last years' voice referendum, remember how you only needed to tick a box to say "No", but you had to actually write the answer if you wanted to say "Yes"?

This upcoming census reminds me of the ballot paper at last years' voice referendum - it is designed to be misinterpreted and manipulated using deceptive means.

SPOT ON - "But there is something else going on here too. By deliberately diluting responses to the question of religious faith, the government can hide the true makeup of immigration numbers and how our culture is being transformed before our eyes. Peace by upon the prophet".

Nothing like using "factual evidence " i.e. statistics to manipulate Australian public thinking.

Seeing most of the sub 25 year old population get their facts from Tic Tok, Comrade Absentese will be able to announce there are only 2 religions of consequence in Australia, Marxism and the adherents of the significant minority voters in 29 critical federal seats

Naturally, I agree entirely. Having said that, rather than baying at the moon about it, what can we, as commoner garden Christians do? Are you aware of of any formal responses from the Churches, the ACL and so forth? This is a real, tangible battle to be fought. Is any Christian leader going to get off their jacksie and show some leadership? If not, we deserve what we get.

Quite frankly, most of our Christian leaders are next to useless. They fail to provide the requisite leadership when needed. As you detail, in screaming clarity, this issue is critical to our Faith and its future role in the Australian community. Where are the robed priests and sceptred archbishops in the debate? They should be leading the charge, not trailing along in three months time after their diocesan committee has wasted time on the matter.

The ABS should be subject to a full-throated roar of disapprobation from the Christian community across Australia over this matter. Now is the time to throw the first bomb.

In war, there is much virtue in both careful consideration, and in initiative and decisive action. The secret is to know and differentiate between the two.

I pray that a church leader with large cajones will emerge to provide the leadership required. If not, we will, as usual, be peeing into the wind.

Great response & totally agree!

Maybe ACL will address thus but don’t hold your breathe for a church leader to stand up.

I agree. The ACL do a great deal of heavy lifting. All credit to them. They put the churches to shame.

Absolutely, Jon! We certainly don’t have to take this rubbish sitting down. People get away with this deliberate deception because good people do nothing.

I think your last statement is correct James. They don’t want us to know how large our imported enemy is. Just one more leftie way to keep the populace ignorant.

Dead right James. Just another Marxism 101 exercise to destroy Christianity. They just keep coming!

Let's face it. I am fast becoming a non-citizen of this world! I'm just a weary traveller passing through the land, and awaiting the Transport out of here into my long expected heavenly citizenship.

But in the mean time I shall fight against the system trying to cull me despite my serving in this world in a non threatening way.

That's a real worry I agree James. As we saw in the postal vote on same sex marriage, people who didn't care and through their ballot papers out, or gave them to their neighbour, really skewed the results. If the tools used to gather statistics are not clear, how can the statistics be clear. Is there a campaign to stop this blunder by the ABS before it happens? I bet there will be heaps of boxes about the mythical genders that people keep making up. Perhaps the greenies are trying to save paper!

In a way it’s a better question that asking what your religion is and then giving you a church denomination to tick. A denomination is not a religion.

Expand full comment

I have read somewhere that there are thousands of divisions under the Christian umbrella.

Expand full comment

Not on the census form.

Expand full comment

Actually with a question like that, everyone should tick yes, to having a religion. Atheism is a religion and everyone worships someone or something. So the ambiguous question should have a yes answer by all

Expand full comment

Even astrology is a belief system as is the flat earth fantasy.

Expand full comment

The point is that you cannot tick yes. There is no "Yes" box. You have to write the name of your religion. A lot of people will simply not bother.

Expand full comment

I always look to write Christian, if I can .

Expand full comment

And this is the hope of the ABS.

Expand full comment

I agree that it has made the question even more ambiguous. Technically one should write “YES” - and then perhaps in the light of any other clarification “yes - Christian” if that applies. Having never seen any evidence of the results having any practical significance, my thought is that it is very good example of “garbage in - garbage out”!

Expand full comment

Exactly. People want tick boxes and to complete the census as fast as possible.

Very shady of the ABS.

Exactly right they don’t want everyone knowing how fast the Mohammedans are multiplying in our country.

Expand full comment

Sorry, I mis read your story. That does change the result

Expand full comment

yep, it will change the result and subsequently how many new churches and funding into churches etc is approved moving forward

as everybody ahs already said its just a way to hide growing imported numbers and lessening numbers in the founding religion of this nation.

it's deplorable, yet unless we all start making some serious noise nothing will change

I think ABS stands for "Australian Bullshit Statistics".

Bingo!!

Yes, we need to start taking this evil seriously. It’s not a Sunday School picnic. It’s our freedom of belief that’s at stake. In fact it’s way past time that every so called grown-up in Australia started to take proper responsibility for what’s happening around them. I realise though that that’s just wishful thinking. Too many people don’t care about the big picture. They leave that up to others and concentrate on themselves. End times alright.
