Antonio Guterres Wakes Up
That the UN boss took 53 days to acknowledge the abuse of Jewish women is, itself, an abuse of Jewish women
The UN Secretary General reckons there may be grounds to investigate Hamas for the rape of Jewish women.
You think?
That it took him almost two months to say it tells you everything you need to know about the United Nations.
Antoni Guterres tweeted yesterday …
“There are numerous accounts of sexual violence during the abhorrent acts of terror by Hamas on 7 October that must be vigorously investigated and prosecuted.
“Gender-based violence must be condemned. Anytime. Anywhere.”
The “numerous accounts” were documented by the rapists themselves, many of whom used Go-Pros to film themselves gang raping and killing Jewish women.
The “numerous accounts” have been documented by Israeli medics who discovered Jewish women with breasts cut off and pelvis bones broken.
The “numerous accounts” have been documented by eye-witnesses who managed to hide from Hamas barbarians during their rampage.
The “numerous accounts” have been confirmed by captured Hamas terrorists who have confessed to the crimes.
So the good news, Mr Secretary General, is that most of the investigative work you belatedly call for has already been done on your behalf.
As for your insistence that “gender-based violence must be condemned” … well, it was certainly gender based, but it was also racially based. The women were not raped for being women, they were raped for being a particular kind of women.
Awkward.
I suppose it’s difficult for the United Nations to call out Jew hatred since the world’s body of peace, like the world's self-proclaimed ‘religion of peace’, is the greatest perpetrator of it.
Perhaps this is why it took so long for Guterres to call it out. Admittedly he has been pretty busy vilifying Israel.
Between 2015 and 2022 the UN approved 140 resolutions condemning Israel and 68 resolution criticising all other nations combined!
And these guys want to lecture Israel on “proportionality”!
Never forget that Antonio Guterres was the man who said that the October 7 slaughter of Jews had not happened “in a vacuum”.
Antonia Guterres could have demanded an investigation, indeed SHOULD have demanded an investigation, into the abhorrent rape of Jewish women on October 8.
That it took the top man in the humanitarian world 53 days to believe women and to belatedly admit there were “accounts” of women being abused is itself an abuse of women.
Then again, it took the world years to stop denying the Holocaust, so maybe it’s a sign of progress.
More likely it’s an insurance tweet put out by a man wanting to ensure he keeps his job.
No great surprises there. In April 2017 Donald Trump commented on the "utter weakess and incompetency of the UN". He said the UN is not a friend of democracy, not a friend of the US and is surely not a friend of Israel. The media at the time was too busy denigrating Mr Trump instead of listening to his prophetic words.
Amir Tsafarti calls the UN "United Nothing".
