Thanks, James for alerting us to even more crazyness. I wonder when the real world will bite them so hard they find they can't move anywhere and bring the nation to it's knees with a crippling loss of power. I do not understand the utter hypocrisy where political parties and others rant about the end of the world and using fossil fuels. This does not stop us in any way shape or form sending many thousands times more resources than we would use off to China to burn. We are actually polluting so many more times by supplying them. However because the government's are so weak and corrupt, they realise that if we stopped sending coal and gas to China we would be broke tomorrow. We are also supplying various other minerals for them to refine and turn into military might. Blind, corrupt, gutless and without any moral compass, political machinations are leading us into the pit
But the fuel for these e-buses has to come from an already tottering power grid. A sensible solution would be to have these buses pulled along by a team of horses or bullocks even.
The dividend (royalties to Govt) from renewables will never equal the dividends from coal. The Qld govt is on crack. The govt will never let go of coal. They are smoke-screening us. Surely they are not this stupid.
Queensland is rich in coal. It’s there to be used. You dig it up and sell it.
Brisbane has been running at leased one electric bus that I know of for the last 3 years. It does the Brisbane airport run. I pass it most mornings going to Skygate shopping centre. It's covered in blue and white livery with 100% electric up the side and the EV sticker on the number plates.
It's not so much the electric aspects we should be concerned about, it's the lead up to total autonomy that should concern us. We will have a complete network of autonomous vehicles on our roadways all talking to each other simultaneously, updating road conditions for one and the other 287k of them get that same update instantly.
What does this mean? It means no room for human controlled vehicles, to much unpredictability to the AI controlled automatons.
How dare they take our power from Gladstone!!! I like my electricity from the coal fired power station, the stacks of which I can see from my driveway. It seems to be stupid young women who are the problem regarding electric vehicles. I love that mans reply about have a Porsche, I have a Peugeot and I am not about changing it either! Like I keep saying, bring back the Loony bins.

They have many problems, but this is one they need to fix before buying them.
When I was young we had electric trams on our roads. Any chance these could be a better alternative? I think they have one in Sydney CBD now.
Yes. I remember when we had trams in Brissie

It's a whirlpool of craziness! Can't wait for it all to go down the gurgler!
Excellent. Will catch up tonight. It’s all just nonsense. The morons in charge have no idea. Rowan Atkinson had lots to say about this.
