Satan has subjugated much of modern technology for his own evil vices, to expunge human beings of God's loving holy spirit guidance relationship, and of eternal salvation in the Lord Saviour Jesus Christ, to expunge human beings of God's loving holy spirit guidance relationship of eternal salvation in the Lord Saviour Jesus Christ, with a loveless artificial synthetic A1 transhumanist one-way-trip into the fiery pits of eternal hell damnation!

Boy - you hit the nail on the head once again Mr Macpherson. I see the same insidious redundancy by design of the human spirit, human ingenuity and human creativity in the unrelenting advance of AI. And it's happening by the minute.

When there is no further need for human interaction or human endeavour because of algorithmically driven VR headsets and artificial intelligence, we will have done nothing more than reduce our existence to serving oneself, creating nothing of substance or eternal value, consuming a steady diet of only what our digital overlords allow us to experience. A world without meaning or purpose, where no one creates, grows emotionally or develops spiritually but merely consumes. A bleak future indeed.

Makes perfect sense James.

We outsource reproduction to other countries via immigration.

We outsource child care to nannies and daycare.

We outsource weekends with our kids to footy coaches.

We outsource ethics and education to schools and social media.

So we outsource connection with & care of parents…….

and wonder that life lacks meaning.

What a disgusting thing to have to use a robot for company it just shows how low we have become dump your family in a nursing then forget them, dump your children in day care let some one else take care of your responsibility I worked in a nursing home for 15yrs, mothers day, fathers day , Christmas day ,birthdays, was a bad time for many residents i used to ask them if there family were coming to see them they used to say i hope so, there are very busy, to far to come and visit, perhaps later on, it was so sad to see the residents whose family couldn't be bothered stay in there rooms alone, I used to be part of a Scottish country dance team we would visit many nursing homes the residents used love watching us dance there feet would tap with music we would bring a smile to there faces as a lot the residents used to do Scottish dancing and they would tell us.

When I was an electricians apprentice back in the early sixties we did a lot of work for one of the Rudolph Steiner homes for disabled children and a staff member told us (without naming names )that some of these children came from very prominent families who have NEVER once physically visited their children , Just paid the monthly fees and left it at that

They'd be better off having an ant for company - at least it's another living creature that has feelings and needs oxygen to survive.

Where are the churches...???

More people in Australia go to mosques today than churches & that's a sad fact. We only have ourselves to blame if our usual christian faith- based charities die out. Are there any Muslim charities that help the wider society?

All Jewish schools in Melbourne take students to visit the elderly at the aged care locations. It's weekly in about yr 9 or ten

Those that can play musical instruments take them and play and some sing

If the young don't respect the old then the lessons learnt and the experiences they had can't be internalised

Each generation must build upon the last. Written form my hospital bed

When I was a lot younger, our youth group would put on musical events for the old, and my mother was a regular pianist at the home as well. I'm sure there are still people who would love the opportunity to visit with the oldies. You just have to get out of your comfort zone and go visit!

When I visited my elderly great uncle when he was in a nursing home I think that I got as much out of the visit as he did --an old Digger of Gallipoli and France and he told me of many things that you wont get at some university I was enhanced by his friendship and although he has been long gone I will never forget those visits sometimes with my kids who still remember Uncle Bertie Woodward 17 Bn AIF

When man tries to manipulate and play God it is never for the better.

We are thankful for inventions but they should never take the place of a relationship with our maker or others who have a spirit. True connections are only spirit to spirit and that's where we get our greatest joy. I know some nursing homes are still making it hard to visit because of strict regulations that not everyone wants to follow so that might be part of the problem.

We are more disconnected to each other than any other time in history because of those so called smart devices. You see it in public all the time. In a cafe everyone on their phones, school bus stops all on their individual phones, kids trying to ask or speak to their parents and the parents are in la la land on their phone not even listening at all. Sad but part of the plan to keep us all disconnected.

A.I.......Liked that James!

Remember the Tom & Jerry cartoon where Tom's human cleaner decided to employ a robotic Cleaning machine? Overwork, or a malfunction in the robotics department, sent the Robo-cleaner into meltdown and made a complete mess of the house. Tom was able to take credit for the destruction of the machine and he was restored to his former position in the house.

I predict that one of the old dears in the nursing home will raise her walking stick and whack the Android on the head, thus causing the algorithms in the mother board to haemorrhage and self destruct!

Tom's 20th century robot failed, and this 21st century one will die just as quickly. (I hope!)

Here is food for thought: the appearance of AI human robots was shown to the Apostle John in a vision while he was a prisoner on the island of Patmos in 96AD. I read that prophecy many years ago and watched the development of such robots in our time. These are usually life-sized females. The prophecy/vision shows an 'image' that can speak and must be worshipped (Rev.13) Jesus told the 12 Apostles just be3fore his crucifixion that this "Abomination of Desolation" will be set up in/on the holy place, the Temple Mount, Jerusalem. Anyone who refuses to worship this image will be sentenced to death by the image itself! Therefore: the development of AI is entirely satanic!

Rev.13 - : The earth beast tells the people to make (manufacture) an image that can speak. This image is then presented TO the Antichrist or Son of Perdition. This image would be in the shape of a life-sized woman modelled on 'Ala Mahozine" , the deity of towers as in Daniel 11:38 also known as "Queen of Heaven".

The robots are not as advanced as you think and are used overseas in aged care. Of course it is sad that families abandon their elderly relations but there can be many reason for this. Some have alienated their family and are very difficult or family lives far away and cannot visit regularly. And there are so many hoops to jump through if you want to volunteer that it isn’t worth effort.

When you get to a certain age anyway you become invisible. When you arrive in a restaurant and watch everyone else be served ahead of you. Happened to us the other night in Bergen in our hotel. All the bright young things were served first.
