Great article James. 2 of my nieces left Texas after my brother’s wedding and returned to Edmonton, CA, where they’re having their coldest temperatures in 50yrs. It’s been down to -49. They’ve been told to use less electricity so they don’t bring down the grid. If these people don’t have oil heating, many would die. They’d love a bit of global warming now. Cyclical weather patterns 🤔 who’d have thought?

What happened to truth?

The current generation of young adults has been taught that truth is as fluid as gender. It used to be Male and female, truth and lies; but now there are "many genders" and everything is a shade of truth.

And these young adults are now teaching their kids the same thing - I heard a song on "Kids TV" sung by 2 cartoon character gay men bringing up a cartoon kid, dressing him in a girls ballet outfit and a tiara, and singing "when you don't know what to do, think of what you like to do - just be you" - and the kid was like "Just be me?" - with the adults purportedly raising him nodding happy encouragement. The US channel reaches billions of people worldwide, providing this advice to children.

No guidelines, except Emotions, are provided. No mention of what is wrong and what is right.

And the thought of discipline? If they could legislate parental discipline right out of the country, they would. We are more than halfway there already.

It's not choosing between right and wrong anymore, with a line which may not be crossed without consequences. It's following your emotions, which means that you ricochet from one crisis to the next without any guide as to what is the right thing to do except your feelings.

Very confusing for adults - how much more confusing for children. No wonder so many people need counselling - which is often provided by people with exactly the same worldview.

It is a self-perpetuating disaster - only interruptible by Grace from without.

All so true James. Optimistically though, I can’t help but get the feeling that more and more people are waking up to this scam. Thanks in no small part to journalists like you!

Every time I see what one should consider to be sane , educated people blathering about climate change I almost lose my lunch When in the aviation industry ,as part of our daily routine before flight we all attended a weather briefing in the met office ---face to face with the duty met officer We all agreed that meteorology was an in-exact science and got on with it . All our pilots had studied and passed exams in met to Airline Transport Pilots Licence (same as Qantas captains )standard I have yet to see ANY politician with that level of expertise. The pilot colleagues of those days that I talk to on a regular basis are all adament that we are being preached bullshit from the highest level . What really angers me is that our kids and grandkids are also being lied to and that is a revolting betrayal of the trust the teachers have been given.

what I find hilarious about all this climate catastrophising is, that when it all boils down, it's the weather - it always has been, it's not humans making it worse it, it is what it is and always has been, and just because its controlled by God the so called elites are freaking out cos they can't control it, so they control what they can - us - they label it al these crazy things and make us live in fear and change our habits for their profits and benefits and to our great expense and detriment all the while actually doing more damage and destroying the planet at faster exponential rates vs what would have been if climate change wasn't a thing and we didn't go down the renewable path.

Bravo James 👏🏼👏🏼

Well said & thank you for pointing out these ridiculous contradictions that society seems to accept.

These contradictions are also evident in Israel’s defence against the murderous, genocidal forces of Hamas, Iran et al.

Wtf has happened?

Nothing makes sense any more.

It’s like the axis of earth has shifted & people have lost the plot.

I live in hope that goodness, kindness & morality will prevail...

Hence a generation of confused people. They don't know if they are up or down, Arthur or Martha, black or white etc. All part of the game I think. As you say James, schizophrenic. I am convinced these people have been let out of the loony bin and set upon the populace

Expand full comment

No, they haven't escaped from the loony bin (though that is where they should be put). They have rejected God. And when the human heart completely rejects God, it becomes perverse and consumed by darkness. And when a person is consumed by darkness, they stubble along in blindness, having no idea whether they are coming or going, Arthur or Martha, or black or white etc..

Ah James - after giving us a great laugh to start the week ( Chicken Wong! bloomin marvellous) you're now depressing us with reality.

It's very unfortunate that the few times a politician, commentator or regular person jumps up and down and really calls out contradictions, misleadings and outright lies, the effort is either unreported or forgotten next day.

Much as I'd like to hold out hope for our Liberal leaders, they too, I fear, have succumbed to this conditioning. It seems to me they Never Follow Through! The Lying Minister and all the other hopeless cabinet are blithely bumbling on . Aw gee. Ho hum.

It doesn't seem to bother anyone any more that we accept that commentators and media rule the roost and have first and last word on everything. Yair, we're conditioned. Ah well. Waddyagunnado?

How about we each try to do at least just one thing: Australia Day. Yeay!

Captured the present state of play perfectly James. As John Anderson opined in his latest excellent conversation with Matthew Goodwin, how have the so-called intelligentsia fallen for these hypocrisy and contradictions. Maybe high IQ, but little EQ and absolutely no common-sense. It must be about ego and power. No BS meter or pub test.

So much of this folly is obviously BS to the layman.

Australia needs a political disrupter to boldly call it out.

You do a great job James, and News Ltd, but you are preaching to the converted. If LNP politicians stick their head above the parapet, they get it cut off.

It’s been happening for far too long and it is so frustrating that so many just accept these things without even a whimper.

We have to fight back at every opportunity and call out the lies and misinformation whenever they appear.

I know there is a lot of eye rolling among my family and friends when I point out the obvious truths compared with the obvious lies in today’s world but a few of them, while they agree, still would rather not know about it.

In my family, the ones who are tradies and never went near a university are the ones who can see the truth, but the others are totally off the planet!

So true Dianna. Uni educated women are the worst. Speak very confidently and well but don't know anything practical and often don't know any facts at all. The pool of well read, informed, thinking, practical people who can solve any problem and make things, happen is Very very small. Finding anyone to have an interesting conversation with is difficult.

The amount of ignorant people in the media and the so called experts they interview is unbelievable. Professor and Doctor as titles should let you know the speaker is intelligent and informed but this is often not true. The vast number of out right lies we are told , especially through covid was mindblowing. Professor woman says this....and I know as a farmer looking after thousands of livestock over 40 years that the professor is either lying or totally ignorant. "Folllow the science" is a warning that lies are coming next. Dr Carl on the ABC would qualify as 1 of the most ignorant ( or dishonest?) people in Aust in the media.

Without God there is no truth, reject God and you can believe anything!

That is exactly the problem isn't it, people aren't willing to do anything, to scared to stick their neck out and speak their minds, we have made it to easy for the squeaky wheels to get the grease and we are all suffering for it

That's exactly right. I think the 'Frog in the water' narrative is also a very fitting description of where we are now as a society:

"If you put a frog in a pot of boiling water it will instantly leap out. But if you put it in a pot filled with pleasantly tepid water and gradually heat it, the frog will remain in the water until it boils to death."

It's no wonder the youth are so confused and disheartened and think the only solution is self-harm and suicide. What have we done to our kids!

Expand full comment

Too many of our youth are blindly accepting many of these contradictions &/or are being led through their social media feeds. Far too many get their news from SM & are easily manipulated down populous, often wrong, paths.

Agree the incidence of self-harm & suicide is tragic.

James I think you overlooked the Chinese 'Man made Islands' that are sinking. Is that climate change? I grew up singing, "The wise man built his house upon the rock, and the foolish man built his house upon the sand". It's obvious the CCP did not go to Sunday School, as there are many other projects in their record book of achievements that are sinking and falling down everywhere.

I still use that song David as I look around me. It was a song I learned very early in Sunday school in Sydney in the 50's.

Whatever happened to the good old days, Dianne?

Expand full comment

Gradualism, David. My generation went to church and Sunday school with our parents. When we grew up and had children, so many didn’t bother with church. My husband and I were both churched. We walked away at 17 and did our own thing, however, we said when our children grew up, they can make up their own minds, so we said if they are to make up their minds,n they need to know what they are making decisions about, so we decided to send them to Sunday school and it had to be one that taught the truth, so we sent them to a Baptist one and both of them were saved before we were. In my family, I had three siblings,we all had the same Christian input, but none of them taught their children so, none of them are Christian. This is a sliding situation where there is a generation of people today who not know Jesus as a swear word! Australia needs missionaries, churches aren’t enough any more. Technology has taken over and no one wants to go to evangelical meetings any more. It is sad and we, who are believers, must speak out with the truth

We grew up in the good years. Post WW2 people were willing to make the most with what they had. My Dad was a bit of a hoarder. If it was broke, he had just the thingamajig in the workshop. Can't possibly throw it out!

Then we became the Lucky Country and life exploded. However in the good time, God is unnecessary, but is awfully handy when we are in trouble!

So when God was told to get out of School, was overlooked in Government Business, He departed and left us to our own resources. Now with rampant crime in our suburbs and cities, mayhem in society and debts mounting up due to impossibly high inflation mishandled by the Government of choice,(not mine), we are becoming a lost generation. Should we pray for Missionaries from overseas to do the work we ourselves should be doing, or ask God back into our lives for His leading? Easy choice really, but stiff necked people are hard to reason with. Soon it might be too late!

I totally agree with you. It is our responsibility to evangelize our people, we already have the gospel, a stiff necked people indeed who are entitled and expect everything the easy way
