A cousin of mine ,a Commonwealth copper, also served with Tony Abbot in the local bushfire brigade (RFS)and would agree with you on his character, Whenever in Sydney would always front up for a fire and drills .Also a surf lifesaver who was routinely ridiculed for running around in his budgie smugglers (wtf would they expect him to go into a surf rescue in a suit and tie ????)
