Why West Elites Rage Against 'Misogyny' Rings Hollow

Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard was proclaimed a hero for screeching “misogyny!” when the Opposition leader dared to glance at his watch while she was speaking.

It was an unserious charge, in an unserious speech, lauded by an unserious media.

And it was lapped up by unserious people who now seem to be in the majority around a completely unserious Western world.

Maybe Tony Abbott meant nothing by checking the time.

Maybe he was being rude. Who knows. And who really cares. Abbott, who has been married more than 30 years and has raised three impressive daughters - is no misogynist.

But if you listen to our security services, people like Tony Abbott are a terror threat.

The Canberra Times reported the head of ASIO warning this week that misogyny and sexism were national security threats.

Seriously. Don’t worry about someone yelling “Allah Akbar”. It’s the bloke who reckons the AFLW sucks that you need to watch out for.

In the UK, Home Secretary Yvette Cooper announced this month her intention to classify “extreme misogyny” as terrorism, alongside Islamic jihadism.

Just on that, what is extreme misogyny? And who gets to decide?

Is moderate misogyny checking your watch as a woman speaks, while extreme misogyny is checking it twice?

Australian spy agencies reported their concern with people perpetuating “harmful gender stereotypes”, though they failed to give examples.

We are left to guess that making a joke about women belonging in the kitchen is pretty much on par with making a joke about having a bomb at an airport.

Women typically take forever to get ready. There, I said it. Call the counter terrorism unit!

There are at least two parts of this debate that I find hilarious.

The first is that Western governments are pretending to be in a tizzy about misogyny while, at the same time, pretending that men who think themselves to be women are women.

To borrow a line from Ms Gillard, I will not be lectured about sexism and misogyny by these people!

You cannot rage against the hatred of women while insisting you have no idea what a woman is.

Just last month the International Olympic Committee boss wished someone would come up with a scientific test to determine what a woman was, and the world’s media nodded.

Huh?

The second part of the West’s sudden war against misogyny that makes me laugh is that it pretends misogyny - even extreme kind - is a handbag of stereotypes our grandparents would have considered normal.

And they do that while having zero to say about men whose ideology compels them to marry girls, while cloaking their daughters in a black sheet, mutilating their genitals and disfiguring their faces with acid should they dare to step out of line.

And by step out of line I mean become a victim of rape. Or become a Christian.

This week the Taliban officially legislated to ban the faces and voices of women in public.

It is now illegal for a female to be in public without wearing the “sharia hijab” to ensure every part of the body, including hands, is covered.

Spokesman for the Afghanistan government Maulvi Abdul Ghafar Farooq released a statement saying …

“Inshallah we assure you that this Islamic law will be of great help in the promotion of virtue and the elimination of vice.”

Farooq, who seems like a fun guy, announced that women are now required to …

• Cover themselves in front of non-Muslim males and females even when in the privacy of their own homes

• Never look directly at any man they are not related to by blood or marriage

• Never sing, recite or read aloud outside of their own houses

Failure to comply would result in arrest, Farooq helpfully explained.

If Allah is God, he is a psychopath.

Or maybe Allah doesn’t exist and there is, instead, only a bunch of men whose insecurities are legion. (Mark 5v9)

And yet this genuinely fascist ideology never seems to attract the ire of Antifa.

How is it that women in Western nations continue to vote for politicians intent on flooding their countries with immigrants steeped in this woman-hating ideology?

The USA spent 20 years and billions of dollars trying to democratise Afghanistan only for Mohammedan practices to return the moment the US packed up its rainbow flags and left.

Woke was no match for Islam.

In a battle between Dylan Mulvaney and Muhammad, the Middle Eastern warlord beats the camp TikToker every time. The Islamic algorithm is strong.

This is the madness of Queers for Palestine, and Gays for Gaza, and Homos for Hijabs, the latter of which doesn’t actually exist, but give it 24 hours.

None of them ever seem to stop long enough to wonder why no Muslim country has ever sought to intervene and liberate Afghani women.

If only we knew why. I suppose, like gender, it’s one of life’s great mysteries.

The Left are cute though. While completely clueless about Islam, they knew for certain that it was happy-clapper Scott Morrison who wanted to turn Australia into the Handmaid’s Tale.

There is another angle worth mentioning.

Have you ever considered that while Islam wants to make women invisible, Leftist Progressives - with their biology-denying gender ideology - want to make women disappear altogether?

Women in Afghanistan who dare to speak against Islam take their lives into their own hands.

Meanwhile, women in Australia who dare to speak against the T in LGBT risk arrest, doxxing, loss of job and physical violence while being smeared as bigots, nazis and fascists by men in dresses.

It seems the West has forgotten that never in human history were women so free as when the West was Christian.

It was Moses who insisted that God had created men and women alike in His own image.

It was Jesus who scandalised the culture by speaking freely with women in public - even and especially, with those of ‘ill repute’; treating them with dignity and respect.

It was women whom Jesus chose as the first witnesses of his resurrection from the dead. The early Christians understood this was highly significant since, at that time, women were considered too unreliable to give testimony in a court of law. Jesus clearly thought otherwise.

The early church counted women among its apostles. And Paul insisted - in a culture where women were traded like property - that if God made no distinction in value between males and females, then neither should we.

The death of Christianity and the death of women’s rights are not unrelated.

The vacuum left by the West’s rejection of the Christian faith is being filled - as vacuums always are - by Islam and by the Leftist woketards; both of which are studies in misogyny.

If women's rights are to rise again, then we will need a resurrection of Christianity. Fortunately, resurrections are not unknown in the Christian faith.
