Parliament resumes today - with a church service and a smoking ceremony.

An hour in church might not be such a bad thing for members of the fractured Coalition.

The preacher could quote Matthew 22 … “Love thy neighbour.”

Or he could quote Psalm 133 … “How good it is when brothers dwell together in unity.”

Or he could tell them … “Stop being idiots!”

To be clear, that’s not an actual Bible quote but, based on what we’ve seen from the Coalition, I think Jesus would approve.

And if a church service can’t expel the Coalition demons, well, a smoking ceremony won’t hurt.

It’s not as if they don’t already smell like a bin-fire.

But I want to draw your attention to something else that is happening when Parliament returns today …
