Politicians behaving badly could be docked up to 5 per cent of their salary or suspended from federal parliament under new laws being considered by a cross-party working group.

Meanwhile, politicians who violate bodily autonomy by mandating experimental vaccines, or who create homelessness by importing more people than we can possibly house, will be allowed to retire with massive pensions.

Former sex discrimination commissioner Kate Jenkins called for the creation of a special commission, which would have the power to levy punishments for breaches of workplace safety such as sexual assault, violence, harassment, bullying and discrimination.

And here I was thinking we had a criminal justice system for these sorts of things.

The commission’s deliberations and judgements would be kept secret. Of course.

I can’t see this being weaponised to target political opponents. Can you?

Anyway, what a pity our political class are more upset about occasional foul language than about consistently poor policies that impoverish the nation …
