What Next?

With the eyes of the world on Gaza, how now does the world behave?

This time last week, Hamas launched a vicious attack on Israeli civilians - raping, kidnapping and murdering men, women, children and even babies.

Israel has vowed to destroy Hamas, and already its missiles have reduced much of Gaza to rubble.

Next comes the ground invasion.

On the sidelines sit America, Iran, Russia, China, the Arabs, the European Union and your local preacher who long ago stopped preaching the Holy Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit because congregations these days much prefer that other trinity of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

So the question then becomes, what will they all do?

Here are some wild guesses.

What’s America going to do?

Well it depends entirely on which America you mean, since there are now two Americas.

There is the Leftist progressive America currently in charge under the guidance of whoever is telling Joe Biden what to do.

And then there is the conservative America that may come to power if Donald Trump manages to survive the 23,430 indictments and 8,203 criminal charges that have been, or that are about to be, brought against him by the Democrats.

The virtue-signalling Leftist progressive America will stand with Israel for the next few days, until images of charred Jewish corpses begin to fade from the headlines.

When safe to do so, Lefty America will begin urging Israel to “exercise restraint”.

It will give speeches to a yawning '“international community” about the “peace process”, and the need to end “the cycle of violence”, and the urgency of assisting transgendered Palestinians of colour whom the war has disproportionately affected.

The Leftist White House will attempt to hug Israel whilst gently stroking Iran’s shoulder, hoping both will just calm down.

Meanwhile, the rest of the world will look on at the one-time superpower and realise all over again, as if we needed reminding, just how impotent it has become.

Not that many in the world will say it out loud, of course, since the Leftist White House, while good for absolutely nothing, is still good for writing big cheques.

So world leaders will nod politely while John Kerry pontificates about how the war in Gaza is accelerating the climate crisis. They know that if they endure to the end of his monotonous monologue - from a moron to mutes - they will likely get funding for one of America’s pet progressive causes, confident in the knowledge that the money can later be redirected to more pragmatic uses.

Leftist America is a dangerous because when the world needs strength and moral clarity, the current US Administration is likely fretting about whether or not to go ahead with International Pronouns Day in Gaza on October 20.

Let me give you a classic example of this administration’s unmatched ability to screw even the right thing up.

It was announced today that President Joe Biden would meet with the families of US hostages, via Zoom. You know for sure that Trump would have flown them to the White House.

I feel for those families. They’ll get a Zoom call for a President who, when not looking at his watch, will be telling them about the time he was taken hostage as a kid by Corn Pop.

What’s Iran Going to Do?

Iran are loving life at the moment. They have inflicted a great wound on “the cancer” of Israel through their patsies in Palestine. And they have drawn the “great Satan” into conflict once more.

And don’t worry about that $6 billion that America is threatening to freeze. The Iranians know they will get it. The Big Guy is in the White House, isn’t he?

For all their bluster about wiping Israel from the map, the Mullocracy is not about to become directly involved however. Not with two US aircraft carriers sitting just off the coast, and not with those funds needing to be signed off by the US Administration.

Besides, Iran cannot be sure that their Russian allies would assist. They are, after all, kind of busy in Ukraine right now.

As for the Chinese, when push comes to shove, they are more concerned about keeping oil lanes open than about fighting a war to defend a mad Islamic theocracy.

And no-one else much likes the Iranian regime. If the Israelis, or the Americans for that matter, took out Iran’s nuclear facilities, no would shed a tear.

The Iranians likely realise that they have pushed Israel to the limit and America is entirely unpredictable right now. The yanks could just as easily go to war as go on a global tour apologising for not having done more to make abortion free and accessible. Who would know with this lot.

Iran certainly don’t. So they’ll be sitting this one out.

What’s the Arab World Going to Do?

The Arabs will, of course, scream death to the “Zionists” since it’s their favourite song. And it plays well on the streets.

They’ll be happy to use this moment to stoke anti-Israel sentiment among their own populace. Far better to have Arab youth raging at the Jews (who have done noting to them) than to have those young men raging at their own governments who are actually responsible for their second-rate conditions.

They won’t mind seeing Israel take heavy loses, obviously. But they’ll also be quietly pleased to see Hamas who, let’s face it are just annoying, take a well deserved pounding.

It’s a pretty great result all round.

The only danger for Arab nations is that thousands of Palestinian refugees start trying to get into Egypt or Jordan. They love the Palestinians, just not that much.

What’s Russia Going to Do?

Well, the Russians are kind of tied up right now.

They will, however, be glad to see America distracted again in the Middle East. Last time America got involved in the world’s great sand pit the Yanks lost 20 years, thousands of lives, and billions of dollars worth of military equipment. What Putin wouldn’t give to see that again.

The Russians have no great love for Arab nations, having enough problems with radical Islam in their own backyard. They don’t mind Iranian drones though, which have proved useful on the battlefield with Ukraine. But for the reasons outlined above, it’s highly unlikely they’ll be getting involved.

What’s China Going to Do?

The Chinese just keep getting lucky.

While the world is fighting in Europe and now, potentially, in the Middle East, their eyes are fixed firmly on the main prize just across the Taiwan Strait.

The Chinese like to pretend concern for the Muslim world, of course, since it keeps criticism of their appalling treatment of their own Muslim population at arms length.

China’s real concern in the Middle East is money. They want to ensuring trade routes remain open.

So whatever joy they might take in seeing Israel destroyed would be offset by seeing their exports in the region hampered and their oil imports jeopardised.

What’s Europe Going to Do?

Europe will be pretending neutrality, maybe even chastising Israel in order to placate the millions of Muslim immigrants they now deeply regret having allowed to leak into their countries.

But as they chastise Israel, issuing high minded statements about “proportionality” and the “rules based international order”, they will be praying Israel manages to destroy Hamas because they know someone must. They just desperately don’t want it to have to be them.

What Are Our Woke Elites Going to Do?

In short? They will commit repetitional suicide.

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion crowd will go on defending the indefensible, providing an insight into how the Holocaust happened.

They will argue that no babies were beheaded. Then they will argue that there was no proof babies were beheaded. Then they will argue that even if babies were beheaded, it was not as many as reported. And finally they will argue that Israel drove Hamas to behead babies, as if there were a universe somewhere in which beheading babies was understandable.

If Hamas had the capability to murder 6 million Jews rather than only the 1000 it did at the weekend, it would have.

And we now know the NGOs, progressive politicians, woke corporations and muddle-headed social justice warriors who, if alive in the 1930s, would have turned a blind eye, justifying the Holocaust, and even supporting it.
