Suddenly Australia's most left wing state is concerned about anti-Semitism
Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan said yesterday that Kanye West was not welcome in Melbourne.
West, who is rumoured to be planning a tour of Australia in 2025, has made anti-semitic comments in the past.
Ms Allan said the rapper’s “offensive comments” were not welcome in Victoria.
She told Nine News …
“That individual, and those comments have no place in Victoria.”
Too right. If Kanye wants to sprout vile anti-Jewish slogans, he will need to enter as a migrant and attend one of Melbourne’s weekly pro-Palestinian protests like everyone else.
Or teach in a Victorian public school.
Or become a Greens senator.
But you can’t just fly over here with your anti-Semitism - sing a few songs - and then leave again.
‘We will decide who can be antisemitic, and the circumstances in which they may do so.’
