Donald Trump deliberately escalated tensions between Israel and Iran just to avoid meeting Anthony Albanese at the G7, according to sources within the White House.
The US President cancelled his scheduled meeting with the Australian Prime Minister just hours before it was due to take place, insisting he needed to deal with a crisis in Tehran.
But sources close to Trump (mostly Mar-a-Lago caddies and one guy in a MAGA hat who swears he once sold him a Diet Coke) have told The James Macpherson Report that Trump’s sudden departure from the G7 was due to something far more pressing: namely, his desire to avoid the Labor leader.
A Trump aide told me this afternoon …
“The president was briefed that he would have to sit through a bilateral with Albanese and that’s when the mood changed.
“He looked at a world map, pointed at the Middle East and said, ‘Is there a hornet’s nest I can poke to get out of this?’”
Within hours, tensions in the region skyrocketed, with reports America was set to bomb Iran.
