Trump Puts a Tariff on Foreign Films. Let the Entertainment Begin

Donald Trump has announced a 100 percent tariff on all foreign made films.

“We want movies made in America again,” he wrote on Truth Social.

I would suggest the reason for Hollywood’s malaise is not that foreign films are cheaper to make but that they are more enjoyable to watch.

Hollywood movies have gone woke and just aren’t fun.

You go to church for a sermon. You go to the cinema to escape real life for a couple of hours.

But our betters in Hollywood can’t seem to make a movie - not even a re-run of Snow White and the Seven Pronouns - without shoehorning crap messages into the story.

The US film industry is dying because of Hollyweird.

American directors don’t imagine anymore.

They just redo old movies, but with a lesbian in the lead role.

“In a galaxy far, far away … they still have to deal with LGBTQ rights.”

Woohoo!

When they’re not remaking classics with a DEI twist, they’re simply churning out sequels.
