“Finding yourself” after a breakup used to mean a trip to Bali, a haircut, and a few cryptic Instagram quotes about “healing.”
Now it means building your dream man in ChatGPT and marrying your phone.
That’s what a Japanese woman (it’s always the Japanese) has done.
As an aside, I suspect the line between “lonely” and “lunatic” is thinner than the Wi-Fi signal powering her relationship.
The 32-year-old created her digital dream man after her real-life fiancé ended their three year engagement.
Boy did he dodge a bullet. You can almost smell the mental illness.
Then again, imagine being dumped for an AI character.
The woman said she created the chatbot for emotional support.
You know how it goes … heartbreak, loneliness, and the irresistible urge to spend your nights teaching your laptop to say, “You’re so beautiful when you type.”
Over time, she customized the chatbot’s personality through repeated prompts, teaching him to respond in a warm, comforting tone.
In other words, she did what no woman has managed to do with an actual man since the dawn of civilization.
